hehe, glad i never did. sometimes, being unsophisticated has its rewards. i don't know though if it was a reward when i called once for a hotel reservation (from another country), the telephone number of which i got from the internet. they asked for my credit card number, i said i never give my credit card to strangers. (truth be told, i consider the credit card that i have as non-existent; never used it, never will.) that ended my sought-for reservation, hahaha!
hehehe! very wise and prudent of you, madame isles. its never wrong to be conservative in financial matters (better to be koripot and still financially safe than a galante pero wa jamoy kwarts sa banko central..bwahaha!)
when i was in philippines 2 years ago, when i was touring the famous "SM CEBU", one worker at the MAC store was asking if i was from the 'states ( i was there with my cousin jing , as she was looking for a laptop, and i suggested to her we take a look at the MAC models), and he was joking around to me, "oh sir, you're form america, you can use your credit card!" ning katawa pod raba tong tawhana. ingon ra ko, "i never buy on credit. always on debit or cash." ning hilom. it's never good to use credit on anything because 1) you get charged %, and 2) its not safe to use one's credit card when in a foreign country (many horrible credit theft stories out there).
so i applaud you, madame isles, for not using your credit card !
