Title: Bohol Internet Connections
Post by: [email protected] on October 29, 2007, 01:57:20 PM
hi guys,

need to know the available internet connection in bohol.

Based on last year's info:

For Wireless and Laptop Users:
1. Smart Bro --> not offered to our bukid
2. Globe Visibility --> 2yrs contract (not good for me)

is there any aDSL connection offered by Globelines? or anything having some speed of 256kbps(guaranteed speed) will do... at least...

check out auza.net (http://auza.net) - they offer the kind of premium guaranteed speed connection you're looking for.

My family in Manga is using cruznet.  so bad connection, very slow!  I will check auza.net and see if it's available in Manga already.  thanks Ben.

thi is my problem too..been wanting to buy my mother a PC so we can chat everyday, but the problem is the internet connection. Smart bro is not yet available in our bukid..and the golobelines dial up is very slow.. The school located in our place has 10 PC units and an internet connection before..but it was cut off coz the connection was really crawling..

im a "smart" bro user before, karon smart sis na! bongga! hehe  sa akoa lang ikasulti, you're sharing the connection with some other users in that specific Wi-Fi range. not sure if same pa ba ang settings, technically speaking, local IP address ang gipanggamit sa mga users then gi-route nila sa usa ka public address (possible router) located sa site nila. not confirmed by those tech guys behind smartbro pero mao na akoa nakita sa ilang setup. ;D

this is just my opinion... sa motoo lang...   ::)

You sound credible, [email protected]!  Thanks!

Are you familiar with Cruznet?  Sige lang kadaut ang connection didto sa amo sa Manga oi!  The technician told my sister to have it changed to Smart or Globe but the thing is wala pa daw Globe maka abot sa Manga.  That leaves us with Smartbro.  So if hinay pod just like cruznet, why bother to change.  What do you think, [email protected]?

hahahaha pareho sa una, matingala intawon among pobreng inahan kay wa sya kasabot nganong among gina raise among kamot with the cphone kay mura ba'g nag magnet ug signal!  Ako lang jud frustration karon noh kanang slow kaajo among internet connection sa Manga unja sige pa jud kawala ang connection.  Naay mag two weeks, di sila ka gamit.  One time, ask ko sa akong manghud unsay ingon sa taga Cruznet, ingon na gikilatan daw ang internet kay ga kilat daw the night before!  Pastilan ka mga tsolokoy! :o
Title: Re: Bohol Internet Connections
Post by: [email protected] on February 29, 2008, 12:18:56 PM
maski sunog, kilat, ug uban pa nga kalamidad ila na nga business so ila na protektahan. users pay for those services nga gi-offer nila so ila na i-provide. kasabot ko ana na situation kay naa ko sa IT Service/Solutions Provider ko nga industry mao na amoa trabaho, everything naa jud backup solution para lang ma-satisfy ang customers.

same gud sa globelines, pila na ka tuig ang milabay wa jud gihapon telepono amoa bukid maski naa ra ilang cables sa amoa tugkaran (kuyog sa poste sa boheco) kay "dead zone" daw... ingon ko maayo man ug wireless na ilang infrastructure nga mahimo man nga dead zone, wired gud na so ngano mahimong dead zone ang wired.

sad to say pero ila lang jud gi-likoy ang mga tawo kay kasagaran motuo ra man pud nila.

Post by: grazie7y on February 29, 2008, 02:52:23 PM
Exactly, [email protected]
