Ang Taloto pud.  Wa na may taloto didto.  Some say the tree is extinct.  Not just locally extinct; they say that it's really extinct.  But then I don't know what a taloto looks like.

I had once heard that Taloto was named after the Taloto tree, which is today believed to have been endemic to the place, but then this is all hearsay coming from me. Sir Jes Tirol may have something really substantial to say about this, though.   (Kaila nuon ko sa taloto nga lizard. )

I don't know if there's a street name in Bohol called Taloto but there's a barangay called Taloto where my uncle is the Barangay Captain.  Have you been there?

I do, Mr Sigbin. I will always associate Bohol with the love of my lola. Living in Cebu sa una, kung ma overwhelm na gani ko sa mga problema, I'd go home to Bohol because I knew that's where I'd get unconditional love. Bohol is my happy place.

I feel the same, Ms Ethyl. Bisan tua sa bukid akong grandparents unya wala'y signal. I prefer to stay there.

Korek, Ms Ginger. It's the people we associate with the place that makes it special. Without loved ones and people we care about, Bohol is just another island in the Philippines.
