Bel, mas ganahan ko mo-retire in Thailand. The current peace and order situation of our country is alarming. We can be vanished from the earth instantly because one criminal wants your cellphone.

Non-Thai citizens cannot own a house and lot, but they can buy a condo.
Properties are much cheaper than in the Philippines.

Ms da Binsi dear,

Unsa gusto kang mag silingan ta pohon?  How many years you need to be home?  Soon?  I have acquired a small lot in Dauis and you will see the whole Tagbilaran view because it is located in a hill, it is exactly at the opposite side of the City.  Na, what you think? :)

Hi Mike!

What's wrong with you?  Where is your love and loyalty?  Why surrendering?  Didn't I tell you that we need those intillectuals for the future and peace in our country?  What will the queen of your heart decision then? Crimes happens everywhere and anytime.  Fear is not a weapon against this present problem otherwise, we will be subject to be doomed. ???

Bambi,

Journalists in the Philippines are killed every now and then - highest rate all over the world.
I can do many things for our country if I am based outside.
There are many who are based in our country who ruin our country.

Mike, we have the same sentiment. i want my cafe up, have a 'command center/homebase' and im going back to Thailand. But Bohol would still be a home.

Naa baya sad gihapon crimes in Thailand but a lot lesser. I wanna share with you my very scary experience in Pattaya, a very famous tourist destination in Thailand. My friends from England (whole family with 4 kids) came over and they rented a whole Villa in a supposed to be low risk compound with security guards and check points. We were out for the night partying and came back around 2AM. Everyone were drunk except me and the 2 little kids. I have this habbit of locking my room when i sleep because im scared with open space. Next morning, we found out the house was robbed, everything taken, jewelries, cellphones, money, credit cards, just everything. Only me was spared. The robbers went through all the rooms and maybe if they werent drunk and one woke it must have been bloody thinking that they were all guys and could have fought with the robbers. And if i did not lock my room, they could have done something to me because i would be up. The family was left with nothing so i have my phone at service to call their banks. They had 5 cards and 1 was unlimited withdrawal. It was freaky scary.

wherever we are we just have to be very extra careful. it's this feeling of being safe that matters most.

Oh.........i'm sorry Mike,  I was't not aware to the fact stated-above.  I thought this killings were happened during Ex- Pres. Marcos era.  Well, anyway, everyone has the right to choose and decide which place he feels safe, comfortable and happy. But......if I am already home in the future, you can come and visit me anytime,  you are welcome! :)
