Lorenzo, on the other post, has been posting photos of a country he visited. It gave me the interest of seeing photos of the new countries you now call home. (I know, Bohol will always be home!) Care to post some? Please, tell us more about the countries, its people and their culture. This could be a nice learning experience!

i took the courage to take that picture in one of the streets coz i find it weird. thais eat just anything. i was telling my friend once that to sort out Africa's problem on locust infestation, they should send some thais there;D

nagkalata ang mga pinoy didto Lorenzo. unsaon very talented man. most of them are teachers, singers/perfomers/band members, nurses etc. they excel in almost everything and very competitive because of our grasp for the english language. ako gani, i applied as graphic artist but i was promoted to publication coordinator/editor. lahi ra man gud ato training sa english, written and spoken man. thais cant speak english well, some can speak but cant write and they have difficulty in the sound, they have very strange accent. mao nang mocompete jud ang pinoy even over the westerners. very dedicated sad sa work. the quality controller of the famous Heineken beer in Thailand is even a Filipino. bisan asa ka kita og pinoy, mga sipat ra ba ang uban

Happy, sayang kaajo that in our Philippines not too much tourists come, this is because of the negative-danger reports. One time...I flew with Lufthansa via Bangkok...sus, Day nangana-og tanan pasahero sa Bangkok...mga old foreigners nalay nahibilin kay mangita ug asawahon sa ato. Well, Thailand is really an interesting-cultured land to visit. They have very nice white sandy beaches and daghang Pinoy bands and singers there mostly in every hotel and bars...and for us is not expensive kay ug mouli ta sa ato kahibalo kana....take a sack of money and filled it with rice in coming back.

Gusto ko mo visit ilang royal palace---muy interesante ang ilang architecture pood--kanang very exotic; sa atoa---its like already Europeanized sa Spanish buildings. Different pood baya no?

what i find so good in thailand is that despite the westernization, they still managed to keep their culture. They still have the identity. They opened their doors for tourism but keep the culture.

That is very good for the Thai people--kai wala jud na sila na colonized, diba? So Mari, do the local people there treat Filipinos with respect? Overall, good ba ilang treatment?

and it's very ironic because i feel a lot safer in Bangkok than in Manila. When im in Manila, i get paranoid, very watchful. in Bangkok bisan ibilin pa nimo imo goods sa kilid, y molabot. and their shops dont have security guards. congested gani kaayo pero they still managed to keep the place secure. katawa bitaw ko kay naay shop na walay bantay ingon ko sa pinas pa ni hurot nagshop lift.

they are very nice though my boss told me be careful with thais because they can be very tricky. mura daw og snake ba. i have lots of thai friends and they all are very nice. the only problem i had in thailand is the language. pagkalisud i communicate. siguro 85% cant speak and even understand english. i had to learn their language and most often i do the sign language

nindot ishopping sa Thailand, ang imong 1000 magkabiba nakag groceries. they also have very nice beaches in contrast with a superb night life. the temples are worth visiting too. and the malls are massive. for those who love IT, Bangkok hosts the biggest IT center in Asia, the Panthip Plaza, makaluya ang gadgets... you can also see what i call 'Cybermonks' shopping

but it's a nice place, better than the neighboring Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Indonesia is also lovely... i love Bali.
