Subject: TBTK Press Release on Pres. Carlos P. Garcia Day.

Gentlemen:

Greetings from the Boholanos In America.

November 4, 2007 marked the 111th Birth Anniversary of Bohol's most illustrious son, the late Carlos P. Garcia, the 8th President of the Philippine Republic (1957-1961). Except for the front page report carried by our community newspaper of Cong. Edgar Chatto's formal letter-request addressed to the National Historical Commission to declare CPG's home as historical monument, nothing more had been said if there were other programs or activities prepared by the Provincial government on CPG's day, which we presume, is a non-working holiday in the Province of Bohol.

We are sending hereunder a forwarded e-mail, together with one photo, coming no less from CPG's grand-daughter, Carla Garcia Campos, who is now based in New York, sent to the TBTK Chairperson, Mrs. Betty Veloso-Garcia, which we believe will be of interest to all Boholanos. Carla is the current Head of President Carlos P. Garcia Foundation, Inc.(PCPGFI). She hosted a lunch for TBTK movers in August, 2007 at the Bryant Park Grill in Manhattan, New York to explore ideas and to discuss constructive ways of how the foundation, TBTK, Inc. and TREDEC could cooperate to carry out this monumental task of preserving an important part of the Boholano legacy to the Filipino people for future generations of young Boholanos living not only in the Philippines but also all over the world.
