BDRC casualty's wife denies illicit affair with guardA different slant in the killing of an inmate during the assault at the Bohol Detention and Rehabilitation Center (BDRC) Tuesday dawn last week hinted the alleged illicit affair of a jailguard and the victim's wife.
The victim, Nilo Corbita, who died from a suspected close-range gunshot on the head, yielded an unregistered .38 revolver during the raid.
As authorities continue the investigation on the presence of prohibited materials inside BDRC, the angle of Corbito's wife, Rosalita's affair with a jailguard floated.
In an interview over dyTR, Rosalita attested that it was impossible for her husband to possess the firearm, one of the contrabands confiscated during the raid.
She said it was impossible for the firearm to slip through the scrutiny of the jailguards.
Rosalita, however, admitted that the jailguard courted her five months after her husband was detained at the BDRC.
But she said she ignored the jailguard's intentions, especially that he is already married.
She also admitted though that she had chances to talk with him on occasions that they accidentally took the same ride in going to BDRC.
Rosalita also said she already informed her husband about this.
She said she wanted to clear her name in the suspicion that her alleged affair with a jailguard was the motive in killing her husband.
She further admitted that she had a misunderstanding with her husband recently, but they had already patched things up.
She even claimed that the victim even sent her a text message a few days before the assault, seeking help as he sensed threat while inside the BDRC.
However, reports had it that it had been a while already that Rosalita stopped showing up at BDRC to visit her husband.
