Sweden's Comments on Overseas Filipino Workers

Swedish envoy to the Philippines has said that the country’s overseas migration program could not help fuel the Philippine economy in the long run if the government relies only on remittances.

“Relying only on overseas Filipino workers’ remittances is not a sustainable way. The Philippine government must find ways to invest in the knowledge OFWs have gained from other countries to develop the domestic productive capabilities." said Ambassador Annika Markovic to GMA news.TV.

Citing historical parallelism, Ambassador Marcovic said that a hundred years ago, Sweden and the Philippines had much in common. Both were poor rural countries. There were around four million Swedes and Filipinos were about the same.

The Swedish government allowed about one-fourth of the population to immigrate to rebuild their lives out there in foreign lands, especially the US.

“From the Swedish point of view, Swede immigrants [in the early 20th century] managed to restart their lives abroad. Like OFWs(Overseas Filipino Workers) of today, Swedes sent back money home. But many decided to move back. As they did, they brought with them money as well as good ideas from other countries."

The most important thing, she said, is that the Swedes came back with new ideas. They introduced new ways of doing things, new technologies, among others. They started new businesses and in the process helped develop the economy.

To this end, she said, the Philippine government must provide returning OFWs opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills to help build up the local economy. Expatriates who have decided to move back should be given access to both short-term and long-term loans.

“As an economist, I am convinced that you can’t start a business if it’s going to grow with only your own savings. But it’s difficult for small savings to grow if you cannot go to a bank to borrow money at low interest for a long term," she said.

The ambassador discourages the idea that OFWs be given financial support. She thinks it is unsustainable. Instead, they should develop entrepreneurial skills, which involve taking risks for themselves.

Meanwhile, Jeremaiah M. Opiniano, executive director of the Institute for Migration & Development Issues, wrote in his article published by the OFW Journalism Consortium that the International Monetary Fund confirmed of the weak link between OFW money and investment. (original source: gmanews.tv)

and beside, Swedish can go to other European countries and study for free...that's why they can come back to Sweden anytime they want equipped with knowledge to increase there way of living. Compared to us Filipinos, we can't even pay a single trip to travel other Asian countries. What concerns more, we have to think how to eat 3 times a day or even survive for a week.

There is rampant violation of labor laws in the Philippines, that's why pinoys have no choice but go overseas. Look at the big establishments in Bohol who should have been model employers. They are only paying their workers less than 150 a day when the minimum is more than 250. they don't pay their workers overtime, SSS/Philhealth premiums and worst they lay off their workers after six months. There is practically a crisis of morals among our businessmen and employers.

How about going into business? There is also no chance for OFWs to succeed since most business lines are monopolized by established businesses. Besides, it is difficult to succeed in business if one has no guts to violate laws on taxation, labor, environmental laws, etc. There is virtually no successful business in RP or Bohol where the owner can claim that he honestly / rightfully earned his profits, assets and wealth. He/she became rich because he exploited his workers, evaded paying the right tax or follow good business practices and ethics. Most of our laws were made to be broken/violated because they have no teeth.

Aside from Sweden, our neighbor Korea is also a good example of this article.

During late 70’s South Korea is just recovering from ruins after it was torn by decade of war and you can imagine how bad the situation is back then. However, if you look at Korea now, it is unbelievable. LG, Samsung and Hyundai are just some of their giant products, not to mention large construction firms.

The secret lies behind their being Patriotic or nationalistic…. Koreans are so patriotic to the extent that they are discriminating their half blooded citizens and whatever they do is dedicated to their country.

During the war days, Koreans were scattered throughout the globe as migrant workers like us. Majority migrated to Europe as factory workers, mostly in Germany. After the war, that was the mid 80’s, almost all of them went back to their homeland. They organized companies and applied what they have learned from Germany and this is called “technology transfer”. This is different from technology theft which China is now doing.

During that time in Germany, Grundig, (a TV/Electronic company), Daimler Benz (maker of Mercedez Benz), Fisher (part German, appliance maker) lost half of their work-force which were predominantly Korean Nationals. Non of them cared to stay back in Germany despite of salary offers.

Their embassies worldwide made a great role in introducing and Marketing their products. LG was first marketed in 1991 and in just a decade it became a giant.

So, when can we start our company?… It is just a matter of organizing…. Many Banks are ready to give a loan assistance once we are organized….. I hereby recommend Mike Ligalig to be the Chairman or the President of our new company “TB” brand….

I agree, Macky! I've read the survey somewhere. Filipinos are one of the happiest because they are very resourceful. They can make do with what is available. (BTW, you are one person I love reading here at Tubag Bohol. Thanks for shedding light to the issues tackled here. Cheers!) :)

The main reason why our politician in the Phil are kurakot because pod na sa mga tao kay dili mo boto kung walay kwarta nga madawat. So mangurakot jud ka para mabawi ang imong gasto during the election. Pila ramay sweldo ug empleyado ka sa governo unya milliones ang gasto nimo time of election.

One reason nga nag-hirap ang economiya sa Phil because of our heavy or over population. we don't have good family planing bisan kung P200 lang ang kita everyday unya mganak ug 10 kabuok , and not all filipino are hard workers.

There are many things nga super barato sa uban nga lugar, pero super mahal sa uban nga lugar. So let's take opportunity of our position nga mag monitor ta sa mga butang nga barato ug atong i-broadcast kung naay mo ingon nga mahal dire, atong i-export adtong lugara.

I will give you one example and I will check kung mo click kini.

We will work on the principle of "a garbage to one person may be a treasure to another".

I will check which of our Ray-Ban Models we could sell for $50 to $70 a piece. I bet even in the Philippines nobody is selling Ray-Ban at this price. I will let you know which models later.

This is just one example. Many companies in Saudi Arabia are selling their items even lower than thier import price because they need the money to buy for latest models. This normally happens between ends of Summer or Winter, because fashion mostly has two seasons namely spring/summer and autumn/winter. Between these, I can find items with outrageously low price.

So, how about in your place?

Please list as below format items that are cheap in your place:
1. Country: _______ Brand: ________ description: _________ Model number: _______ unit cost:______

So, what is your opinion Mike?.... please set some rules and guidelines on this trading so that all could benefit.... should we form a company or shall we just make it as individual... like a yard sale....

Happy

"There's no perfect life, but we can let God fill it with perfect moments"

Macky Ferniz

Dear Ashton,

I will give you a simple example: Last month, a Nike shoes distributor in our place went on a clearance sale. They made 3 categories on their shoes at $9, $15 & $26. In peso, it is P420(walking & kids shoes), P660 (Running/Training shoes) & P1,188 (Hi-cut for Basketball).

So, please tell me where in the Philippines could you buy as cheap as like that. Even if we impose a 100% mark-up, lets say the we will sell the basketball shoes at P2,000 to P2,500 still it would be cheaper than the cheapest Nike shoes sold in the Philippines (I mean this is original and not counterfeit).

Of course we have to send in bulk to save freight cost. Actually, we have in our place an owner of a forwarding company WRJ Mr. William Jao (of Tubigon Bohol). He charges $1.73 per Kg. on sea cargo at 1 month to 45 days duration from Saudi to Tagbilaran.

Also we have TV (Sony, JVC, Samsung) at a very low clearing price & Cell phone too.

Please give me a model no. of Cell Phone you would like to buy. Maybe it is cheaper here and you may compare it to prices there. Like we have Nokia N70 at $240 and Nokia Panda at $173. However, I will impose some margins + shipping fees and let me know if you are serious and we can compare prices there in the Philippines and we can start business.

Kinsa lagi mo apil...

John

Macky, Very cheap diay ang mga paliton diha sa inyo, well it's a good Idea. Diri gud sa U S bisan mag sale mahal gihapon siguro dahil sa tax. Speaking of nike shoes ( made in China ) the price  would range to $50 - $150.
Actually I'm planing to invest a small business in the Philippines.

Macky's suggestion is good.

She even asked me if I know someone who can supply her kay sa pagka karon mag search ra siya sa internet ug products. If even I can provide her a direct supplier mas maayo. We can give her a reasonable price.

Macky Ferniz

Dear Mike,

Actually, we can collaborate with your friend there in Thailand. Naa ko sa purchasing dept. nag trabaho. Naa mi textile business pod (home textile) like bed sheets, comforters, pillows, blankets, shower curtains, floor mats...etc. Usually, I am sourcing from Europe, China or USA (which is also made in China but branded in US).

I know that Thailand is world famous for Fabrics, but since Thailand is in South East, gi discourage ko sa akong boss/the owner, which is a (1st generation businessman) kay mahal kuno ang freight charges sa South East, which is I just believe him out of respect. Actually wala ko mo to-o. So what happens is that our collections are balik-balik lang, China, Italy, USA which comes from China.

Hence, I would appreciate if you could help me proove to my boss that he is wrong. I need 2 things from you. 1) Ask any forwarder how much is freight for 40ft, 20ft and 40ft(hi-cube) container from Bangkok to Dammam or Bangkok to Dubai. 2) Go to any Fabric Shop specializing in Bed Sheets and give me their export prices (FOB or Ex-works). Then I will compare it with China Prices. In this business division of our company, the volume of import per year is around 20 x 40ft containers in Saudi and 15 in Dubai.

I wonder, because the route from China to Dubai is via Singapore which is also South East. If so, Philippines is also a prospect for sourcing. We have native products in Bohol that is a very hot item in Europe, USA and Middle East. Sadly, ang mga Philippine products is hoarded in Hong-kong and re-exported at high price. Taga Hong-kong ang nakaginansya ug dako. Actually, during my last vacation, I investigated this matter. Nag inquire ko sa Alibaba.com (China based trading site) ug ang ilang presyo $1.3 / pcs which is more than 10 fold.

Di lang hibaw-an taas na man diay ning akong gi sulat.... bye for now...

Hi Ogie,

We are importing European European beauty products such as Sebamed and foot therapy products like Scholl. Also, we have Himalaya Herbals.

Why not Philippine Products?.... "patronize our own and help build our economy".... Actually this is what is missing in our Philippine Embassy worldwide. Since my 10 years of stay abroad, I have not seen anybody from the Embassy who is endorsing/promoting Philippine products to their host country. They are more on Party, delivering non-sense speaches, sosyalan....chibug, chibug and you can see the evidence through thier "bil-bils"...

Ogie, our company is only interested in non-food cosmetics. Hence, please send your business partnership proposal for your cosmetic products (with pictures and prices - C&F or FOB Manila to Jeddah) to our email: ho@gtcl.com.sa   or  purchase@gtcl.com.sa. Don't put my name, just attention to the Manager or Marketing Department.

I have seen your company's web site and it is good because now, the trend in cosmetics is herbal/natural/organic.

Remittances of OFWs have adverse impact on the attitude of the beneficiaries back home towards taking initiative for employment and realization of aspirations.

Constant "spoonfeeding" is tantamount to complacency, dependency factor as they will not be motivated to look something for their own, and explore avenues on how to be self-sufficient.

This is also true to public governance.  It is correct to say that dependence on OFWs' remittances is temporary.  The government must build infrastructures that would generate income to sustain future requirements.

To reflect on recent government projects, dili ko boto sa paghatag ug kinilong bugas or noodles sa katawhan, kay inig human ug luto, tapos na, ubos dayon.

But if these funds used in buying the rice and noodles were spent in projects that would generate employment and income, then dunay silay source nga gamiton sa ilang pang adlaw adlaw nga kinahanglan.

What the government is doing, they're teaching the public to be lazy, dependent and wait for dole outs.

Bisan asa, lisod man manginabuhi!  The only advantage in working outside of the Philippines right now, is I think, the higher exchange rates that the other countries are enjoying over that of the Philippine Peso.

So ... tingali ... there is no better time to take action ... Unsa man Mike ug Macky ... shall we forge resources and talents?   ;D  Smiling ako ... pero am serious!!!

What about taking real action? ... dili ra puro daldal?  Waaaaaaaa!

Proud Ann,

Actually, I am already doing it in my own small capacity. I bought batik shirts from one wholesaler here at SR5 a piece that is P60 + shipping cost nga SR7 per Kilo. Since it is a light material, 10 pieces of it would cover the shipping cost. Akong gi baligya ug tag P200, so mi ginansya ko ug P140 a pair and that is 230% profit.

Kaning akong gi himo maoy gi tawag ug re-export. Sanlabi na ug adto ka sa source mangompra like Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand....

Bay Ashton...... about the cel phone, we have only GSM here like the Philippines. Not like USA nga imong paliton ang line. GSM has more features & 4G na, pero ang sa US, 2-3 G pa lang ilang phone system like Verizon and AT&T. Sayang lagi kay wala pa koy pohonan. Also Video camera here is now very cheap, last year model pa…. sayang lagi..

Nindot baya ang mga ideas ninyo.  To pool the resources is really the answer if we need to do something at a faster pace and be competitive.  Pero at this time nga nanarbaho pa ta sa laing laing lugar, it is not advisable to start a business without your presence. So the best thing, we have to save for the meantime, and for a prescribed time frame, manguli ta ug mag start na sa business....

Citing historical parallelism, Ambassador Marcovic said that a hundred years ago, Sweden and the Philippines had much in common. Both were poor rural countries. There were around four million Swedes and Filipinos were about the same.
---

This is true and many Swedes even migrated to America at that time.
It was the immigrants who helped built Sweden into an industrialized country. Only difference between PI and Swden is that Sweden has never been a colony like the Philippines.

The mentality of the Swedes are also far different from the Filipino.
Swden is the fourth largest country in Europe but only has a population of 9 million.

We have many brilliant Filipino doctors, nurses, lawyers, CPA's, engineers..etc.. but they are not in the Philippines.

and beside, Swedish can go to other European countries and study for free...that's why they can come back to Sweden anytime they want equipped with knowledge to increase there way of living. Compared to us Filipinos, we can't even pay a single trip to travel other Asian countries. What concerns more, we have to think how to eat 3 times a day or even survive for a week.

Education is free in Sweden even in the universities. Even if you are an immigrant you can study for free here. So there are many students from abroad.. (among others China, Japan, USA, other parts of Europe and even from Philippines) who studied here.

But you need to have a good grade to be accepted here. And you need to study the swedish language first.

As  I even told you, you need not to compare our Philippines to the Europian countries.  We have a mentality which is more centered to our religious belief and that is the answer of Lorenzo's question. I've been out for a very long period of time and it was a mistake once I had commented a relative with 10 kids at my age....(she said: Pagbout sa Ginoo! - and i told her pagbout sa Oten gjod), my Mama was not amused of this.  The Philippine government must have to pass a Family planning policy like in China and I think we could make a good start and could be that economic changes follows.

Hi Bambi...

I dont find any problem with comparing PI and Sweden because without comparing we will not know the difference.

Korek ka nga maong dako population ang Pinas because of the religious belief nga sala ang magfamily planning but also because the Philippine is not an industrialized country.

Kon naa pay mga tarbaho tanang tawo dihas atoa and they are busy with their professions they will not have much time for the other thing.

In Sweden, I even have to make appoitments to meet my husband sometimes. :-). Mao dia nalang kos TB nagyampungad pawala sa kalaay.

Actually the Philippines could learn something from other countries ..and I just cant help comparing Sweden to Philippines. Sorry if it offends you.

Cheers!

And how our strong religious belief has a great effectivity to this case.....or did i write something wrong?  It is our mentality which plays more a role.

Tinood ka Bambi mao gayod nga it is high time for PI to have a Cultural Revolution.

If the children is our future we should take care of them. Build free schools and universities.

Build free hospitals where every Pinoys can go.

If they can afford to waste millions of funds in that irrigation dam why no money for our FUTURE? (The children?)
More and more peoples money are wasted to wrong projects. The Agora market is just one of the many examples.

One more important thing that Filipino people should Organize is a strong labor union.
There is more to write but my one finger is now aching....

I have been postings to other related thread about this.....what we might need is wonder!  Yes, the young generations are the future....normally, but how we could have this so-called future if the young intellectuals are all working abroad instead of serving our country and to have a progressive economic Philippines.?  Our poor Philippines must  to have profits out of these knowledge, but nobody cares. Our dilemna is..... the politicians who are now on power concentrate more in thier personal advantage.  Well, how could we all Filipinos living and working abroad could make a contribution for a  positive development ?  Your idea about some support for educational benefits for the youth is brillant, but,  are you sure that other think the same.  Hope...you did not forget our deadful mentality....ija-ija...aho-aho, di, ba? Dear Bambi,

Mao gyod niy usa sa dakong problema nga angay mausab sa atong mentality.
Actually, kon dato pako zamo ron dugay rako nagtukod ug free nga university dihas atoa.

Mao niy giingon nga: united we stand..divided we fall.
Maibog ko magtan-aw how priviliged the Swedish children are. Malooy ko makahunahuna as atoang kabataan nga gipasagdan sa atong gobyerno. Wa gani bisan free nalang unta nga papel ug ballpen para sa elementary schools.

In 2002 when I visited Bohol together with a Finnish friend I showed her the school where I studied elementary. Nalooy siya nakakita as mga bata and specially when I told her nga ang uban wa kauskwela kay way ipalit papel ug ballpen ang parents ug ang uban mouskwela way sulod tiyan mao di kasabot sa lektion sa maestra.
To my surprise she suggested we adopt the school. Meaning: we give them free lunch, Supply them with ballpens and papers and even give cash awards to honor pupils so they will study hard.

We also supply them new T-shirts every year that they can wear in school. And give the graduating pupils (grade 6) the chance to do a semi round bohol trip. So they wont be ignorant with their own province history.

Of course the whole village is so thankful for these blessings. All the children in the village could go to school now and are so happy for it.

But no matter how kind you are, you can not please everyone. Dihay uban parents nagcomplain pa kay wa daw maayo luto sud-an sa kosinera nga amo gisweldohan. I couldnt believe it! How could this parents complain after all the good things we did? I just couldnt help feeling angry so I said: better to stop the free lunch to avoid troubles. basin kami pay kasab-an kon dunay masakit as ilang mga anak kay maoy pasumanginlan ang pagkaon sa skol.

Do you know how much the free lunch cost us every month? 10 th pesos. The lunch consist of rice, fish or meat and vegetables. And still some complain??? Na bale.. nasayang lagi sila nga giundang. Nagpakilooy nga ibalik pero wa nako pasalig.

We are now 5 people who support this school. 2 from Sweden, 2 from Finland and one from Norway.

I wanted to help more so I founded this FGCA or Filipino Global Charity Association in Nov. 2005.
FGCA now supports one Boholano Scholar in HNU. For more info about this pls visit: www.filipinocharity.org

Next year we will offer the scholarship in Cebu.

There are more than 10,000 Filipinos in Sweden. If only all of them will join FGCA and pay 100 sek/year membership fee, then we could raised about 7 million php. every year.

If you add all the Filipinos residing in USA and other parts of Europe there will be billions of pesos to support many Filipino scholar.
We could make a difference if we only want to.

BTW, Mike is already a member of FGCA. Pokwang, the actress and comedian is also a member.
I hope many of TB members will join too, hopefully in our own little ways we can contribute something to our beloved country, The Pearl of the Orient.

Hello, Everyone!  Apil ko ha?

I think, each country has its own way of getting through ... Japan, Korea, Taiwan ... to mention a few right here in Asia ...

Para nako, dili problema ang daghan ug anak ... as long as there is teamwork between the couple, and that same "exceptional" attitude is successfully passed on to each member in the family.

The Filipinos thrive on having children ... unlike our European counterparts,  who see/think of children as hindrances to the activities they would usually indulge in (clubbing/parties/travel), most Filipino couples would even feel empty and frustrated about not being able to reproduce!!!  ... most of our men, feel shamed at not being able to contribute to our burgeoning population, their "pagkalalaki" being in question o di kaya nababawasan ... Di po ba?  Ang uban are even not happy just having daughters ... dili moundang ug dili makaanak ug lalaki?

Every year, how much do you think is the accumulated amount of government monies being siphoned to private pockets dishonestly and illegally?  Let us say P1 Billion? Or let us just quote a convervative P100 Million (because anything lower than this figure will be laughable and unbelievable to me - I am talking of combined figure for the whole Philippines, you see)!  Please take note:  the P100 Million I am quoting is:  ANNUAL stolen Philippine Peoples' money!!!!

Other problems?  Sobra show-off!!!  Bisan way ikasagad!  Politicians indulge in unnecessary "loho" for himself and his family, to maintain KUNO a certain standard; "aron-ingnon"?  Or to keep up with the "Joneses?"  Or plain "hambug" lang gyod!!!

Imagine how many hi-tech Government-operated universities could have risen and been maintained each year with such an amount?

Proud 2B Boholana,

Thanks for joining. Tinood ning imo sulti nga ang kinadakoan gyod nga problema as atoang nasod mao kaning Corruption.

Imbes malipay nga dunay kapwa pinoy miasenso..magselos hinoon.

Salamat day...you are admirable yourself.

My own opinion is that we are all born good. It is our surroundings,(environment) upbringings (culture) that molds us what we become and how we behave later.

A man will not go rob a bank if he has other choice to earn a living in a decent way.

There are many mysterys in life and only one thing is SURE. We will all die oneday. And we can choose while we live if we gather riches on Earth or in Heaven.

May point ka rin about this, Day Analieh!  Mao nga kinahanglang further education ...  they can accept the money ... but not necessarily vote for this vote-buying candidate!  Waaa!  Way kaso dawaton nila ang kuarta ... basta they will still vote the non-corrupt candidate!

Libog pod bitaw ko no?  Sige angal ... unya mobaligya man sa buto?  People who had already been paid their votes should not expect anything else ... as they had already been paid ... But what about the voters, who refuse to sell?

Sakto gyod ka .... cancer in our society ... pero ... there must still be hope ... manguli lagi ta!!!

A man will not go rob a bank if he has other choice to earn a living in a decent way.

I will defer to disagree with you in this, Day Ann ... one will almost always have choices ... one can go : maninda ug isda?  maninda ug sigarilyo?  maglako ng gulay/fruits?

There will always be honest options!  I am not trying to be saintly though!  I had once experienced maglako ng asin --- even when I was already a degree holder and licensed at that --- the first few days after I left my EX ... with the kids, and with me being NOT computer-literate at that time, and no capital at all ... I opted to sell SALT using the last P100 in my wallet!!!!  Waaa!  Bug-at maglako ng asin --- no easy job, what with my 2 kids (less than 4 year olds hila-hila ko) ... but I did persevere, until such time when one of my previous employers got me back on board!!! Do I feel ashamed doing it?  No!  That was a choice I made instead of asking (magsamok-samok) relatives for donations just so I can buy the milk my kids needed at that time;  moaning about the absence of a gigantic capital to make my ends meet!!!   :-[  Looy kaajo no?  Pero yes, that was what I did!  Dali ra unta pod ... offering one's body for pay?  If there would have been any takers, that is!  But ... tinda na lang ko asin!  Hehehehe!

See?  ... alam ko it is not easy ... but?  It is still DO-ABLE; rising to the challenges life hurls at each of us in a POSITIVE way!!!

So, no matter how difficult life becomes, there will always be choices ... just a question of sticking to positive ones and not being tempted with the "easier"-but-more-shady" solutions ...

Maybe this is out of topic, but I have some facts to share.

The key word for population control is not abstinence, but birth control methods. There is no intensified effort from the government to promote population control. In some parts of the world, they are imposing taxes on the second child.

I heared some facts about Sweden that sex is just a casual thing and some do it in public. But their population remains controlled. There is even an ex porn star who run for Mayor in Sweden and won, maybe that was in 2005.

Another fact is the lowest population growth rate in the world is in Italy. Children are so rare that they have to close a kindergarten school in one town.

Hence, no wonder these countries are rich because GNP & per capita is the nation's wealth divided by the population. The lesser the population, the better is the education, the more health benefits, less pollution (more ratio of doctors vs. patients, more ratio of teachers vs. students...etc.)... moreover, there are more jobs vs. workers that they have to hire us (outsourcing).

Sir Macky,

Greetings----

Your inputs is certainly not out of topic. I agree that if only the head of the catholic church will allow couples to use contraceptives then our population now would not be racket high.
As Bambi earlier pointed out..its our religious belief that causes overpopulation.

What you heard about sex in public in Sweden is NOT a fact but just rumors.:-)  I have lived here for 16 years now and I have travelled the whole of Sweden but never have seen a single couple who had sexual intercourse in public. It is punishable by law.

However,  hugging and kissing (bisan lips to lips) is very common to see with the youngsters (ug sa atoa pa mga highschool ug college) specially during summer time.

Kaning imong giingon nga pornstar nga milansad pagka mayor siguro dili nis Sweden because we dont vote for a person but to a political party. And there was no election made in 2005 here.

To Proud2B...

Thanks for your rebuttal to my earlier posting. I understand your concern and we didnt really differ on this.
Sa una naninda pod ko ug tangkong sa grade 5 pako. daghan paagi makakwarta in a decent way.

Ang ako lang buot ipasabot nga due to lot of Injustices in this world., no matter how good we are when we were born..our environment change us into the person we do not want to be.

ingat...

All of us may kanya-kanyang diskarte, pero pareho lang ta ug target nga mo uswag ug makahatag ug maa-yong life or Edukasyon sa atong sumusonod or mga anak.

It's thruth nga because of our religion nag over populated ang philippines.

The latest phrase was often repeated, as what I had previously cited. And this already a non-stop exesting  tragedy-over population, a number one problem which resulted to more poverty.

Ashton, you think it is not too late for me to TULOD SA KARETON? - :D  Bitaw, no one likes to stay as ever poor but I think it is a life's fate in which we must have to accept. I had work all my whole life, and until present am still the same but I am happy and contented with my situation.  I work, I spent  and sooner or later I will die, who cares?

Hi Macky,

You misinterpret the Sex education in Europe,  Doy... they are not like dogs that just in every corner of the street magtapot na gjod.  You might heard about "PARTNER  SWAPPING"         ..there are some establishments here to this kind of free sex -exchanging partners or a group sex.  This is mostly  run from those private persons who are also interested to this and more sexually  active.  But this is not every ones interest.  I think, if we have it here pastilan! BIBO GJOD ang mga boys!  But.....those couples who are involved to this actions -they possesses the tolerance of their relationship otherwise it will never functions.  JEALOUSY is out of place.!!!

In some Europian rich countries, counting Germany, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Switzerland and some more others, the government has this program to support Families to raise more children otherwise the generations are almost to be vanished.........we are aware of this, but.....life here is not like licking icy sugar in an early morning - we must have to work in order to exist and our bills to be paid is  only 99% higher  than in our country. We got no maids, we must have to pay a babysitter and that is not cheap, no Lola's. aunts to take care of the kids while we are at work to support a bit our relatives left behind. And we are  not doing love making for the purpose of getting 12 kids as what our countrymen doing.  We are raising a Family in which we could say........it is enough and life would be great enough too.

Hi Asianfairy, silingan ra diay ta..I'm here in Norway.friends nata ha..

Same here, I do hope that the Catholic Church will allow people to use contraceptives coz for me, it's more sinful to raise a lot of children and yet we can't afford to send them to school or provide a better future for them.

My female employer in Denmark is a member of the European Parliament and she keeps on telling me that the only thing she don't like about the Catholic Church is the order prohibiting the use of contraceptives.

I want to live by the moment and worry no more about my future because I know that God has already made the best plan for me. All I have to do is be faithful to HIM all the time. GOD rocks!

swakee
