Hello, Everyone!  Apil ko ha?

I think, each country has its own way of getting through ... Japan, Korea, Taiwan ... to mention a few right here in Asia ...

Para nako, dili problema ang daghan ug anak ... as long as there is teamwork between the couple, and that same "exceptional" attitude is successfully passed on to each member in the family.

The Filipinos thrive on having children ... unlike our European counterparts,  who see/think of children as hindrances to the activities they would usually indulge in (clubbing/parties/travel), most Filipino couples would even feel empty and frustrated about not being able to reproduce!!!  ... most of our men, feel shamed at not being able to contribute to our burgeoning population, their "pagkalalaki" being in question o di kaya nababawasan ... Di po ba?  Ang uban are even not happy just having daughters ... dili moundang ug dili makaanak ug lalaki?

Every year, how much do you think is the accumulated amount of government monies being siphoned to private pockets dishonestly and illegally?  Let us say P1 Billion? Or let us just quote a convervative P100 Million (because anything lower than this figure will be laughable and unbelievable to me - I am talking of combined figure for the whole Philippines, you see)!  Please take note:  the P100 Million I am quoting is:  ANNUAL stolen Philippine Peoples' money!!!!

Other problems?  Sobra show-off!!!  Bisan way ikasagad!  Politicians indulge in unnecessary "loho" for himself and his family, to maintain KUNO a certain standard; "aron-ingnon"?  Or to keep up with the "Joneses?"  Or plain "hambug" lang gyod!!!

Imagine how many hi-tech Government-operated universities could have risen and been maintained each year with such an amount?

Proud 2B Boholana,

Thanks for joining. Tinood ning imo sulti nga ang kinadakoan gyod nga problema as atoang nasod mao kaning Corruption.

Imbes malipay nga dunay kapwa pinoy miasenso..magselos hinoon.

Ika nga: "United we stand, divided we fall."

Mangag├║ba nalang atong keyboard ug dinokdok ani wa gihapon ay mahitabo kon di ta magkahiusa and do some action together to help our beloved native land.

Have a nice day!

Ciao!

Proud 2b,

Tigum Bol-anon Tibook Kalibotan. Naa thread dires TB about this.

But no matter how kind you are, you can not please everyone. Dihay uban parents nagcomplain pa kay wa daw maayo luto sud-an sa kosinera nga amo gisweldohan. I couldnt believe it! How could this parents complain after all the good things we did? I just couldnt help feeling angry so I said: better to stop the free lunch to avoid troubles. basin kami pay kasab-an kon dunay masakit as ilang mga anak kay maoy pasumanginlan ang pagkaon sa skol.

Salamat day...you are admirable yourself.

My own opinion is that we are all born good. It is our surroundings,(environment) upbringings (culture) that molds us what we become and how we behave later.

A man will not go rob a bank if he has other choice to earn a living in a decent way.

There are many mysterys in life and only one thing is SURE. We will all die oneday. And we can choose while we live if we gather riches on Earth or in Heaven.

May point ka rin about this, Day Analieh!  Mao nga kinahanglang further education ...  they can accept the money ... but not necessarily vote for this vote-buying candidate!  Waaa!  Way kaso dawaton nila ang kuarta ... basta they will still vote the non-corrupt candidate!

Libog pod bitaw ko no?  Sige angal ... unya mobaligya man sa buto?  People who had already been paid their votes should not expect anything else ... as they had already been paid ... But what about the voters, who refuse to sell?

Sakto gyod ka .... cancer in our society ... pero ... there must still be hope ... manguli lagi ta!!!

A man will not go rob a bank if he has other choice to earn a living in a decent way.

I will defer to disagree with you in this, Day Ann ... one will almost always have choices ... one can go : maninda ug isda?  maninda ug sigarilyo?  maglako ng gulay/fruits?

There will always be honest options!  I am not trying to be saintly though!  I had once experienced maglako ng asin --- even when I was already a degree holder and licensed at that --- the first few days after I left my EX ... with the kids, and with me being NOT computer-literate at that time, and no capital at all ... I opted to sell SALT using the last P100 in my wallet!!!!  Waaa!  Bug-at maglako ng asin --- no easy job, what with my 2 kids (less than 4 year olds hila-hila ko) ... but I did persevere, until such time when one of my previous employers got me back on board!!! Do I feel ashamed doing it?  No!  That was a choice I made instead of asking (magsamok-samok) relatives for donations just so I can buy the milk my kids needed at that time;  moaning about the absence of a gigantic capital to make my ends meet!!!   :-[  Looy kaajo no?  Pero yes, that was what I did!  Dali ra unta pod ... offering one's body for pay?  If there would have been any takers, that is!  But ... tinda na lang ko asin!  Hehehehe!

See?  ... alam ko it is not easy ... but?  It is still DO-ABLE; rising to the challenges life hurls at each of us in a POSITIVE way!!!

So, no matter how difficult life becomes, there will always be choices ... just a question of sticking to positive ones and not being tempted with the "easier"-but-more-shady" solutions ...

Maybe this is out of topic, but I have some facts to share.

The key word for population control is not abstinence, but birth control methods. There is no intensified effort from the government to promote population control. In some parts of the world, they are imposing taxes on the second child.

I heared some facts about Sweden that sex is just a casual thing and some do it in public. But their population remains controlled. There is even an ex porn star who run for Mayor in Sweden and won, maybe that was in 2005.

Another fact is the lowest population growth rate in the world is in Italy. Children are so rare that they have to close a kindergarten school in one town.

Hence, no wonder these countries are rich because GNP & per capita is the nation's wealth divided by the population. The lesser the population, the better is the education, the more health benefits, less pollution (more ratio of doctors vs. patients, more ratio of teachers vs. students...etc.)... moreover, there are more jobs vs. workers that they have to hire us (outsourcing).

Sir Macky,

Greetings----

Your inputs is certainly not out of topic. I agree that if only the head of the catholic church will allow couples to use contraceptives then our population now would not be racket high.
As Bambi earlier pointed out..its our religious belief that causes overpopulation.

What you heard about sex in public in Sweden is NOT a fact but just rumors.:-)  I have lived here for 16 years now and I have travelled the whole of Sweden but never have seen a single couple who had sexual intercourse in public. It is punishable by law.

However,  hugging and kissing (bisan lips to lips) is very common to see with the youngsters (ug sa atoa pa mga highschool ug college) specially during summer time.

Kaning imong giingon nga pornstar nga milansad pagka mayor siguro dili nis Sweden because we dont vote for a person but to a political party. And there was no election made in 2005 here.

To Proud2B...

Thanks for your rebuttal to my earlier posting. I understand your concern and we didnt really differ on this.
Sa una naninda pod ko ug tangkong sa grade 5 pako. daghan paagi makakwarta in a decent way.

Ang ako lang buot ipasabot nga due to lot of Injustices in this world., no matter how good we are when we were born..our environment change us into the person we do not want to be.

ingat...

All of us may kanya-kanyang diskarte, pero pareho lang ta ug target nga mo uswag ug makahatag ug maa-yong life or Edukasyon sa atong sumusonod or mga anak.

It's thruth nga because of our religion nag over populated ang philippines.

The latest phrase was often repeated, as what I had previously cited. And this already a non-stop exesting  tragedy-over population, a number one problem which resulted to more poverty.

Ashton, you think it is not too late for me to TULOD SA KARETON? - :D  Bitaw, no one likes to stay as ever poor but I think it is a life's fate in which we must have to accept. I had work all my whole life, and until present am still the same but I am happy and contented with my situation.  I work, I spent  and sooner or later I will die, who cares?

Hi Macky,

You misinterpret the Sex education in Europe,  Doy... they are not like dogs that just in every corner of the street magtapot na gjod.  You might heard about "PARTNER  SWAPPING"         ..there are some establishments here to this kind of free sex -exchanging partners or a group sex.  This is mostly  run from those private persons who are also interested to this and more sexually  active.  But this is not every ones interest.  I think, if we have it here pastilan! BIBO GJOD ang mga boys!  But.....those couples who are involved to this actions -they possesses the tolerance of their relationship otherwise it will never functions.  JEALOUSY is out of place.!!!

In some Europian rich countries, counting Germany, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Switzerland and some more others, the government has this program to support Families to raise more children otherwise the generations are almost to be vanished.........we are aware of this, but.....life here is not like licking icy sugar in an early morning - we must have to work in order to exist and our bills to be paid is  only 99% higher  than in our country. We got no maids, we must have to pay a babysitter and that is not cheap, no Lola's. aunts to take care of the kids while we are at work to support a bit our relatives left behind. And we are  not doing love making for the purpose of getting 12 kids as what our countrymen doing.  We are raising a Family in which we could say........it is enough and life would be great enough too.

Hi Asianfairy, silingan ra diay ta..I'm here in Norway.friends nata ha..

Same here, I do hope that the Catholic Church will allow people to use contraceptives coz for me, it's more sinful to raise a lot of children and yet we can't afford to send them to school or provide a better future for them.

My female employer in Denmark is a member of the European Parliament and she keeps on telling me that the only thing she don't like about the Catholic Church is the order prohibiting the use of contraceptives.
