Tinuod ka Bay Hubs, there are pyschological studies that profile sexual predators and abusers as victims of sexual abuse themselves. This crime spawns a vicious cycle.

No wonder that Jesus has always preached about love, forgiveness, and loving one's enemies, but his message of grace does not cover those who sin against the innocent ones.

Mark 9:42 "And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck."

I would like to believe that Jesus meant this as a metaphor and a hyperbole. But those who preach from the moral high ground of the pulpit should take this literally.

We can trust the justice system of the U.S. If a U.S. court would find Skelton guilty as charged, he would be extradited to the U.S. But if he is innocent, Skelton can stay in the Philippines.

I am touched to read that individuals are concerned about Brother Skelton, however, we should remember Romans 3:23

And remember that there is none of you that is without sin. For sure some of you have committed adultery, perjury, lying, covetting, even blaspheming before the Lord Your God.

So do not judge, that is up for the ETERNAL JUDGE. Christ Jesus who is LORD.

If Skelton asked repentance from Christ, then he is forgiven. Completely washed.

It is out of the hardness of men's hearts that look for the wrongs of every situation.

Skelton is a minister of Christ, and as a man born from sin, formed from sin, he will sin in his own time.

I am sure that with prayer and with faith and support he is handling his own past.

For no saint is without a bad past.

Blessed Paul who was once known as 'Saul' prior to his conversion was responsible for the persecution and death of Stephen, a martyr of Christ.

But Paul was touched by the Holy Spirit. He is a Doctor of the Church, and powerful in Biblical Ministry.

For God sees the weaknesses and looks into the depth of the heart.

Let us pray for Brother Skelton, to continue preaching, and to stay strong in his faith and in helping to build the faith of overs through his ministry of the Blessed Word.

Christ Preserve the Faith of the Faithful!

I do believe in TOTAL REMISSION OF SINS!

If we confess in our hearts to the Heart of Hearts--Jesus Christ who is LORD, then the sin is removed. Cleansed.

Romans 3:23 dictates to us that "FOR ALL HAVE FALLEN SHORT BEFORE THE GLORY OF GOD!"
That tells us that no one is greater than any other, for we are all sinners.
And as sinners, we are all worthy of death!
BUT! We have life eternal for those who accept SALVATION in JESUS CHRIST WHO IS LORD!

WE all have unspeakable sins. We all fall short of the glory of God. That is why it is not for anyone to judge another sinner.

Paul exemplifies God's transformative handiwork. He was not ashamed to confess his past and refer to himself as the "worst of all sinners", "rubbish" and "a pot of clay" because when he met Christ in a blinding flash, he was changed forever. Over the years, I have met in our church circles people who were formerly self-confessed drug addicts, philanderers, cons, pickpockets--what-have-you. Seeing how they have come to terms with an abject past by acknowledging the power of God's grace to change them, I am mortified by my own sinfulness. Their gloriously changed lives convict me of my own unconfessed sins.

Our God is indeed a God of second chances. Far be it for me to judge Fr. Skelton. I have only two important practical concerns here:

1) The issue of Skelton's personal misrepresentation. Bishop Medroso should clarify if he was indeed informed of Skelton's criminal conviction in the US, but ordained him nonetheless because he has objectively assessed that Fr. Skelton has totally reformed through rehabilitative and counselling program. Did Skelton himself tell the bishop about his criminal history in the US? In a serious case like pedophilia, it is one thing for us to hope that a perpetrator change, it is another thing for the perpetrator himself to voluntarily subject himself to a professional reform program.

2) The issue of assigning him to a ministry or activity that puts him in contact with youngsters, who share the profile of victims of his previous repeat offenses. This is only common sense, and the Church should never relegate the welfare of the youth to second priority. As a parent, I would rather be cautious than sorry for my children.

Romans 3:23, 'For all have fallen short of the Glory of God."

We all are repeat offenders. We all sin, even after remission of sin. It is mandated after man's fall and due to Satan's rule in the world. Man is tempted to sin. And will always sin. As such we are all deservant of death and eternal perdition. It is said in Romans 6:23, "For the reward of sin is death, but the Gift of God is Life in Jesus Christ."

The meaning of this is that all will sin. Either it be sexual lust, which is a sin, lying, gossiping, perjury, commiting adultery, commiting murder, covetting, jealousy, anger, etc. All of these are sins. And non in this world is free from it.

And all are repetitious sinners. Repeat offenders.

It is not for us to Judge. For we are not God. Nor do we know how God thinks like or how he functions.
For it is said to us, folks,

""For my thoughts are not your thoughts. Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. "
--Isaiah 53:8

I admire that Benne posted this link to warn others and put a voice of concern, however, I would like to remind others, only, not to judge quickly. Mercy and understanding, afterall, are tenents of Christian virtue.
