The Bohol ChronicleAn investigating panel of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) has not turned up hard evidence to prove allegations that there was fund mismanagement at the Rajah Sikatuna Protected Landscape (RSPL) project.
This after the SP committee on natural resources and environment, committee on tourism and committee on government properties conducted a joint inquiry with those involved in the alleged misuse of funds and improper project implementation.
The project was supposed to get a total of P10-million funding from the New Zealand Aid (NZAid) but was stopped due to complaints made by William Granert of the Soil and Water Conservation Foundation (SWCF) that the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) messed up with its implementation.
The investigating panel conducted hearings with Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Eduardo Inting and barangay captain Chanel Lozano of Riverside in Bilar where the project is situated.
Granert was likewise invited to present his allegations to the joint investigating committee.
