Our contact in Bohol sent us an e-mail telling us that offices in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan have been cut off from telephone calls kay wa kabayad. Giputlan sa PLDT. More details later.

Our government can afford billions for waterless, useless dams, but not for telephone bills.

We don't know the background and circumstances behind the disconnection of the SP telephone service. But in the interest of public service, we can not absolve those responsible to let the event unfold.

If it was done on purpose (by refusing to pay the bill) by the SP Secretary, due to probable abuse of its use (unauthorized use for long distance calls), there are other means to discipline their office personnel or install preventive measures to prevent improper use.

What happened was akin to throwing the baby out with the wash water !!!

If this is true, seguro wala pa na-cover sa media tungod kay wala pa nahuman og kuha sa mga statements sa mga hingtungdan.naa man gud sa ethics of journalism nga dili nato ipareport ang usa ka storya kung dili pa komplete ang detalye or wala pa nakuhaan og statements ang tanan sides sa story kay para dili fair.except kung mo-refuse og comments.let's just all be civil on things that will shake the integrity of the government.we have the obligation, as citizens, to help maintain order and prevent chaos by not stirring the imaginations of the public by undue reports.

a review or investigation must be conducted on this... telephone line is essential for communications, unless the government is not sensitive to the issues confronting his constituents then this will remain unpaid or not working...

agree.'hope the SP can look into this or whoever is in charge on this kind of issue, because communication is very important, especially for the purpose of linking the constituents and the public servants.and sana, the telephone company will also be given a slot for its explanation. the investigation should include the duration of time that the telephone line was cut off.or was there an alternative line announced to the public that is working in lieu of the one that was cut off?and how much patience do telephone companies extend to government offices.after all, telephone companies are part of the community that we Filipinos aim to establish.
