Let us not adopt any foregone conclusion -- into thinking that Almighty God would punish a man who fought hard for transparency in local government units. The death of the late Mr. Robredo was attributed to the failure of his aircraft, not Divine Punishment. Let us not give judgement as to the reason of his untimely death, but more so, accept the fact that all men are called to depart this life whenever the Will of the Most High deigns it to be his or her time to depart.
There have been a great many leaders who departed this earth at such a young age. An example was that of President Ramon Magsaysay, who fought for the preservation of the Republic against the Huk War, and sought to preserve Philippine Democracy from a Communist Rebellion.
Robredo was a good man, a man of faith, and an upright man. The reason for his siding with the RH Bill was because of his progressive view. His view regarding the RH Bill may be different to others who were anti-RH, but that does not negate the fact that this man had worked long and hard for the improvement of his local constituency and also to lead other LGUs throughout the country to adopt and enforce transparency and honorable leadership.
This man departed this world as a loyal servant of the people, a loving father, a loving husband. We commit his soul to a loving and merciful God, The Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the soul of Mr. Robredo justly and , with hope, mercy.
