The unattended bad roads in the city particularly in the barangays as well as the alleged graft and corruption in the city highlighted residents’ comments as Tagbilaran City marked her 43rd Charter Day last Wednesday.
A random survey conducted by the weekly program “Radyo Merkado†over dyRD registered the most number of comments on bad road condition in the city which has long been promised to be attended to.
This, even as Gallares st., which is the city’s second busiest street recently completed a P19- million concreting project.

The four cases are under investigation by the Visayas Ombudsman.
The other deplorable matters which registered during yesterday’s radio program were the tolerated illegal numbers game of swertres, unabated drug trafficking and some criminalities.
The poor salary scheme of city hall workers was likewise mentioned as well as the criticized existence of “task force,†and “monitoring team.â€

The celebration started with a diana and a thanksgiving mass officiated by Msgr. Jeffrey Malanog, vicar general.
The commemorative program followed at the city atrium led by Mayor Dan Lim and Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Veloso leading the Sangguniang Panlungsod. Barangay captains and chiefs of offices and all city government employees attended the 43rd Charter Day program last Wednesday.
