what is your most ghostly experience?

We can never fathom our world. It is full of enigmas with which most it, we can never unlock. Much of what we know dwells in the natural realm and what we don’t understand, we regard as mysterious. There have been numerous account sightings and experiences with which this dark and unexplained realm in involved.
Here are some accounts of these spine-tingling, blood-curling, hair-raising experiences as experienced by these people. You never know these things are true until it happens to you!

Glenn Manigque
Professor/Host

My scariest ghostly experience would have to be the night a couple of years back when my friends decided to try spirit of a glass just for kicks. We were a bit intoxicated when our curiosity for the paranormal sprouted. Unconvinced I joined the group by chanting and invoking the spirits.

Much to my surprise, the glass actually moved. It scared the hell out of me. One of my friends then asked what the spirit wanted. The glass moved slowly across the board composing the message letter by letter. We looked at each other when the words went: Glenn will die. I almost peed in my pants. I immediately let go of the glass I n my friends were laughing hysterically. I figured out that instant that it was a just a big sick joke concocted by barkada to frighten me out of acts. I didn’t speak to them for a week out of indignation.

I have a friend who used to have “bouts with evil spirits.” For several times, I witnessed her being “possessed.” She would suddenly appear in my office looking terrible. One night, I woke up with the shaking movement of my bed. I scrambled thinking there was an earthquake. But when I got out of my room ‘twas so quiet. I felt numbness in my entire body and a very bad headache. Very early morning my friend arrived. She immediately asked me what the evil spirits did to me.

My personal encounter with ghost (?) wasn’t really scary but an amazing realization of how the dead can communicate with the living in unimaginable ways.

I was working with my computer at past midnight when I heard something bumping unto the walls of our room. I stood up to check if a bird had flown into our room and then wanting to get out. I found nothing which could have produced the sound. So, I went back to my computer. Few minutes later, I heard clanging of what I thought were spoons and forks. I immediately went to our washroom if forks and spoons were left there. None! Then I heard them clanging again and again.

I checked for the 2nd time then the 3rd time. I started to have goose bumps. My cellphone alerted me with a message. It was from Bebot. Bebot is my brother-in-law who just died that time and who in a few days will be conducting his 40-day novena. Of course it was my sis Ging (Bebot’s wife) sending me the message reminding me about the 4oth day novena. I remembered during the wake night in front of Bebot’s casket, my husband offered to take care of the lunch after the novena mass. Bebot must be reminding me about the offer by clanging spoons and forks.

Frankly, I can’t recall of any. I trust my prayers much. But horrible/scary—I encounter them often—in people who say something and do another thing. I believe they are more horrible than ghosts! At least ghosts don’t pretend and promise nothing.

When I was a kid we lived in our first house in Cavite. During that time I was very religious. I always clean the statue of Mama Mary and always praying every three o’ clock in the afternoon. And I always talked to that statue like a human being and offered flowers from our garden. Then this is the horrible part, we had our dinner with my mom and the maids. My mom asked me to get her bag in the room upstairs. Note the Mama Mary statue was near my parents’ room. I suddenly looked at the statue I was shock because I saw her eyes closed. I looked again and touched her closed eyes and then the light went off! I was scared and run as fast I can to the kitchen. And then the light went back. I told them what happened but they don’t believe it. So, I asked our maid to check the statue and the eyes were opened. The maid told us that we were the only home in the place with no lights.

I had lots of ghostly experience but this one I will share you guys:

It was one overcast Saturday afternoon in my old office in Cagayan de Oro.  I just came back from a business trip in Cebu and I had reports to make for that Monday.  I had asked another colleague (her name was Olive) to meet me up at the office so she can help me.  When I got there, she said the whole office had been so busy most of the day because there were getting ready for the coming of our German investors the next week.  So we did our work.  It was about 3 p.m. when we heard crying and moaning in the small vacant room.  The room wasn't closed so we could see there was nobody there.  My colleague was so afraid she hugged me tight.  It was easier to just leave but I was seriously busy so I resolved not to leave.  I said in a voice loud enough "I am so sorry but we really have to work."  It stopped so we continue our job.  My colleague was making fun of me that I talked to the ghost and the ghost listened to me.  A while later, another colleague (Melmel) came to do overtime work.  Olive told Melmel of our earlier experience.  Melmel just shrugged her shoulder and told Olive to stop her silliness.  Not even 5 minutes later, the creepy sound came back and it was so loud.  My two colleagues both clung to me in fear!  I got to whisk them away from me and I slowly and yes, fearfully went just outside of that little room.  I wanted to go inside but the feeling was just so hair-raising!  I stood there and talked.  I apologized again if we had disturbed her  (it sounded like a woman!) but I just couldn't afford to leave without finishing our work.  I reminded the ghost that we were in our office but we would try to respect her and not make any noise.

While I did the talking, my two colleagues were two arms-length behind me.  I swear I wanted to just run and leave the office but I was scared we would hurt ourselves running down the stairs so I composed myself and went back to my cubicle.  We stayed for another  hour but we didn't hear anymore noise.  You bet it was the talk of the whole office that Monday!  From then on, if we had to work overtime, we would ask the security guard to come too just so we have a man in the office.

Now, I got to go.  It's almost 1 a.m. here and I am starting to feel creepy just remembering that experience.
