Over 500 regular employees of the provincial government may end up jobless once Capitol implements a proposal to reorganize its personnel.
A "re-engineering program", being eyed after a proposal by consultants was made to the provincial government's Human Resource and Development Office (HRMDO), could cause the dismissal or termination from their jobs of more than half of Capitol employees.
In a letter to Vice Gov. Julius Ceasar Herrera and the provincial board members, Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) secretary Bonifacio Quirog Jr. pointed out the concerns of employees regarding the so-called "re-engineering" plan.
According to Quirog, contrary to what Capitol personnel were made to believe that no employee will be terminated, the re-engineering is "a total reorganization of the provincial government where all positions will be declared vacant…"
