The life of radio host Erica Bain (Jodie Foster-“Flightplanâ€) changes irrevocably after a brutal assault that leaves her fiance (Naveen Andrews-“The English Patientâ€) dead. The woman, feeling that the police investigation will be unable to catch the perpetrators, begins to live in constant fear. But when the fear finally becomes too much to bear, Erica makes a fateful decision to arm herself against it and becomes a vigilante.
As stories of an anonymous vigilante grip the city, NYPD detective Sean Mercer (Terrence Howard-“Hustle & Flowâ€) is determined to track down the killer. As he pieces together the clues, the evidence begins to point not to a guy with a gun…but a woman with a grudge.
