KFC, anyone?
« on: November 22, 2007, 03:18:24 PM »
(If there's a thread similar to this, please delete lang ha?)

KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds’ throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways.

More than 850 million chickens get killed each year. KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.

many celebrities support the Kentucky Fried Cruelty campaign. these celebs include Pamela Anderson, Fall Out Boy, Pink, Sir Paul McCartney, The Black Eyed Peas, Good Charlotte and many many more celebrities.

I was surprised to see also how the native islanders prepare chicken for cookinhere as well.

They also catch live chickens and put their chickens head first over a kettle of boiling water still alive in order to kill it safely and more quickly versus uses the older method of a hatchet. Just before a feast right here on the farm inside the city limits.

Instead of shooting a pig with a rifle for preparation before a fiesta's here, they will stab it in the heart and neck area with a strong sharp knife and you can hear the pigs screaming for mercy until his death here at any given fiesta time.

Even beef is given growth hormones inside their foods in the beef farms in the states.

Some persons after eating a beef dinner have been noted for having bad dreams the night they eat beef, and the other is a difficult night of sleep often tossing and turning in bed due to reactions of the hormones we put into ourselves by eating USDA meats in America.

We have a beef farm back home we do not use hormones and we sell our cattle as a side line at the local lifestock sales barn.

We aet our own farmfresh raised beef as well.

It is also being related to in some studies recently as one of the causes of hormonal imbalances and obesity as well as hair extra hairgrowth on women but not everyone reacts the same.
Only some cases are reported and possibly linked to the hormones put into the meat we eat.

Red meat is a high source of protein and chicken is hi in vitamin "C".

many chicken meatshops are known for killing birds the same way before cutting and packaging for retail purposes.

For me it makes me sad I always hated to see my mom butcher chicken before frying it as a kid I use to cry bad about it.

I love to eat chicken as it is easier on the tummy for me.

past council member Archie Sarmiento is also frying up chicken at his new mac jak canteen, it is breaded just the same and taste just the same as JB and the size is a good sized portion served with a side of home made chicken gravy for P15.00 only.

Iced soda in a 8oz bottle cost still P12.00

If i need a quick bite on a busy hectic day, I go to Archies where the price and size and taste is all good for the pocketbook.

Orchids it is at the Mac Jack location in front of the Tagbilaran Police station close to St. Josephs Cathedral.
There also other canteens to choose from but there is also a wet bar under a roof that sells soda and beer.
I always eat at Archies.
He display his chicken in a glass case and pours hot gravy from a pitcher. Yummsville!

Glen, your kitty picture is really well like by my two little Philippine daughters!

He he he! I was wondering is he for batteering and frying.

I was once offered dog here and did not know any better as soon as I had it almost up to my mouth my offerer gigled and said no no maybe you do not eat "DoG Meat" "KanKON"
I have never put a serving of food back to the serving bowl so fast as that in my entire life.

P.S. glen just kidding about the "puddy tat"

I remeber back home when we celebrate birthday, we often slaughter a chicken. but the way folks from our place killed the chicken like that, cut the head first and when its stop moving, they put it in the pot of boiling water, so its easy to remove the feather.

Is there another way to kill a chicken gently?  ???
