ICM is "Shopping Center of the Year"

Island City Mall adds another feather to its cap after it was adjudged as "Shopping Center of Year" for 2009 (Regional Category) by the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) and the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI).
The prestigious award was conferred by DTI Secretary Peter B. Favila and PRA Chairman Jorge T. Mendiola, last December 28 at Crown Plaza Hotel in Quezon City, basing on the excellence performance of the mall in product quality, company reputation, and brand recognition and consumer services. A glass plaque was presented to the Island City Mall of the Alturas Group of Companies.
It may be recalled that Island City Mall was also cited as one of the best malls in the country during the 2005 National Shopper's Choice Awards, together with the other sixty-five malls from Cebu, Manila and Iloilo which also received separate distinctive awards.
The National Shopper's Choice award strives to make the general public aware of outstanding companies in the country. Through the recognition, the award aims to motivate these companies to continue raising the bar of excellence for the benefit of the consumers.
The National Shopper's Choice Annual Awards is organized by the Sales and Marketing Professionals Association of the Philippines, Shopper's Choice Magazine, and the Asia-Pacific Market Research Council. The Sales and Marketing Professionals Association of the Philippines is a national organization of marketing professionals committed to ethical and socially-responsible marketing programs and activities that are responsive to the needs of the Filipino people.
