Shoppers gear up for the holiday season with savings galore as the three stores of Alturas Supermarket, Plaza Marcela, and Island City Mall will hold the biggest Yuletide sale of the year on December 14, 15 and 16.

The 3-Day Sale offers big discounts of up to 50% on great selections at the department stores of Alturas Supermarket, Plaza Marcela, and Island City Mall, where tenant shops are also participating in the sales blitz with more hefty discounts.

On December 15, more discounts are in store for everyone as Island City Mall will extend its shopping hours until 12 midnight through the Midnight Sale, featuring the country's hottest pop/reggae band, Brownman Revival, in a concert at the mall carpark starting at 7 PM. Globe Kantabataan 2007 national champion, Suitcase 101; local reggae band, Estranghero; and Weeping Candle, the "Band Challenge" Champion of Island City Mall; will serve as frontacts. To watch the concert, just present any receipts worth P200 from any of the three stores of Alturas Supermarket, Plaza Marcela and Island City Mall, dated December 9 to 15.

The country's prime mover of reggae music, Brownman Revival will pump up the party mood drawing heavily on contemporary reggae acts such as Big Mountain and UB40 that never fails to leave the crowds winding and grinding their sweaty bodies to the band's euphoric party.

The band, which had already performed at the Island City Mall carpark last year, is behind the hits "Lintik," "Maling Akala," "Gusto Mo Pa," "Salarin," "Dahan-Dahan," and "Ikaw Lang Ang Aking Mahal" among others.

Other events during the 3-Day Sale at the Island City Mall include top local bands First Crew, Centerstage and Five Star live at the Activity Center at 3 PM on the first day of sale, December 14; GlaxoWellcome Magic Show at 4 PM and Freeway Fashion Show at 7 PM at the Activity Center on December 15; and the Grand Finals of DYTR "Hudyaka sa Kabataan" Bohol Star Quest, 3 PM at the Activity Center, December 16.
