The Department of Trade and Industry Bohol provincial office, in cooperation with the Bohol Investment Promotions Center (BIPC) and the Bohol Bankers Association, held a two-day Entrepreneurship Development Training for Business Development Service (BDS) providers on June 23-24 at Wregent Plaza Hotel, Tagbilaran City based on the theme, “Business Plan Proposal: Banking Industry Perspective”.

A total of 30 pre-screened BDS providers attended the two-day seminar.

It was the first in two parts of capability-building programs designed for qualified BDS providers under the Bohol Business Advisory Services and Information Center (Bohol BASIC).

The training focused primarily on the preparation of business plans, feasibility studies based on the standard format of the banking industry.

It was also aimed at assisting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in accessing credit with participating local banks.

Among the speakers during the two-day training were BPI Manager Deodato Butawan, LBP Lending Center Head Allan Bisnar, FCB vice president Tolentino Gallares and DBP Branch Manager Ma. Ofelia Tesorio.

Before the activity closed, Resti Tejido of the travel and tours sector facilitated the project screening and business matching among participants on the identified projects of identified MSMEs.

The activity also led to one-on-one consultations between the participants and identified MSMEs where they primarily assessed their projects and eventually assisted them in preparing their business plans.

Bohol BASIC has the support of DTI Bohol Provincial Director Maria Elena Arbon, Bohol Bankers Association president Rodney Lumuthang, and BIPC Head Maria Fe Dominise.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
