The Alturas Group of Companies once again expresses its benevolence and concern for the less fortunate
Boholanos by making monetary donations of P135,980 to the three beneficiaries, the top-rated radio program "Tagbilaran-By-Nite" of DYRD/DYZD, Sunshine Home, and the Free Clinics.
Alturas top management headed by Alturas PR/Marketing Manager, Loy M. Palapos, turned-over the P85,980 check to anchorman Jerry Pabi at station DYRD last Friday, November 27, together with Mr. Peter Dejaresco, manager of Bohol Chronicle Radio Corporation.
A P20,000 check was also given to Sunshine Home, an orphanage managed by Catholic Women's League (CWL) Foundation Inc., when the Alturas Group of Companies also renewed its commitment to help the street children. The donated amount was also turn-over last Friday, November 27, to Sunshine Home Executive Director, Mrs. Esperanza L. Relampagos; together with Mrs. Anita Dospueblos, Sunshine Home Asst. Executive Director; and Mrs. Caridad Auza, Sunshine Home treasurer.
The remaining amount of P30,000 goes to the Free Clinics, an annual medical outreach project were thousands of patients availed themselves of free medication and consultation.
The P135,980 total donations were the bulk of the gross proceeds in the ticket sales of the highly successful Alturas Drum and Bugle Corps Showdown 2009, which was held last November 22, at the CPG Sports Complex.
The Alturas Group of Companies has to date donated hundreds of thousands of pesos to DYRD's "Tagbilaran-By-Night" and Sunshine Home. The donations are given annually and are used as monetary aid to helpless folks, especially those who turn to the radio station to seek assistance. Most pleas for help involve urgent or emergency cases like hospitalization and medicine purchases for indigent Boholanos.
How very kind of them to do this. They are too kind.
