Few days away from now Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience another lump in business activities. Two prominent transport groups, PISTON and Pasang Masda are set to launch a nationwide transport strike on December 7 not because of the substantial roll back of oil prices by the big oil players of the country, but because of the upcoming fight of our national treasure Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao against another exciting and sought after boxer from Mexico in the name of Golden Boy Oscar de la Hoya. Oscar de la Hoya now residing in the US with Mexican origin is geared to redeem the boxing glory of Mexican fighters who were all executed by the Filipino boxing hero Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao. The Pacman is considered by the Mexicans a thorn in world boxing that many fans call him 'The Mexecutioner'.

The Filipinos are one with hopes for a win by our boxing hero, who will brave himself into the ring this coming December 7 (local time) despite all odds. De la Hoya is 2 to 1 in side and on-line betting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao will win over Dela Hoya by slip decision. That's my prediction.

Hehehe...no count na kay slip ra man. But this fight is to redeem the glory of boxing. The previous utterances of Oscar that this will be his farewell fight were all taken back when he said lately that he wanted to fight indefinitely just to save the luster lost in boxing business. If he means business then, this first fight against Manny is a competitive one-Manny over Oscar by a split decision. You are right Bai! But we'll see the result comes December 6.

I watched the preview of Pacman and Oscar last night. Gikubaan ko nakakita sa ilang mga training. Murag mo patay og tawo.

But still, I am one of those proud Filipinos throughout the whole world who admire the heroics our National treasure Manny did in the ring against the Golden Boy of boxing. Oscar is now a has been of boxing after he lost his golden luster scraped off by our one and only Filipino boxing icon. A new boxing star is born in the Philippines!
