mam kiams, ok ra jud mag-jogging pants pero medyo igang lang sha kung magtrek na ka.. But anyway, it gets colder man sad when you go higher.. Some gals kay magleggings, then magshorts.. Para maflaunt japun ang shape sa legs.. Hehe! But they still bring along jogging pants ky tugnaw na sa campsite.. But on major climbs, we wear leggings then jogging pants.. Dual purpose na sha.. To protect us from the cold and to protect us from the blood leeches or alimatok sa atong dialect.. Minor climbs ra man mostly ang mga bukid sa cebu and bohol.. Sa negros, ang mt. Canlaon and mt. Talinis are considered major climbs..

Sir enzo, ngiga gud ninjo wui.. Winter time man magtrek.. Dili hadluk mag-avalanche?

In the Philippines, dili advisable ang jogging pants or even knee high socks. Daghan kaayo ug "amorsiko". Seriously, katol raba na kaayo. My suggested attire is high cut hiking shoes without socks, a pair of shorts, sleeveless top, fabric or native hat. Must bring: Off lotion for mosquitos and biting insects, first aid kit, a gallon of water, sunscreen spf50, hunting knife, rope, lighter or matches, compas & map, flashlight, foldable tent, canned food & to capture unforgetable moments, the camera. Kini, para sa mga stateside nga gustong mo mountaineering sa Pinas.

For pinoys, this is the attire and must have:
Shorts, t-shirt, tsinelas, handkerchief or purong, bungay or sondang, hapas basin panohoton, bayong or bawjot sudlan ug spooting nga sinina ug tiktak nga sapatos basin makaagi ug bario nga ga fiesta, pomada diay pod, tawas tapol para dili paakan ug haas. Lol ;D.

sir enzo, sa march pa mi muclimb wui.. Bz pa kaau mi, but will take pictures for you..

mam kiams, sakto si mam da binsi.. Medyo lisud jud ang trekking.. It needs stamina, endurance, strong willpower and a sense of adventure.. Kanang dili mokurog imong tuhod nga mag-agi ug pang2x.. sometimes you scramble at steep ascents or climb cliffs literally so that you can reach your objective.. The weather may be fine or stormy but you are still there, moving on.. Kaya dapat, strong jud imong willpower para determined jud ka mopush on..

But anyway, ana ra man sad na nimo makita imong strength when you're there.. Anyway, i wouldn't bring you to difficult climbs sad.. Pasulayun sa ka nako ug mga easy ones para mafeel ug ma-experience sad nimo.. Hehe!

Ang by da way, you shouldnt mind being a cowgirl.. When the time comes for you to pee.. Ngita lang ka ug bushes nga makaconceal gamay and do your thing.. Walay restroom sa bukid.. Hehe!ü

Ah mao ba, Easy?
Well, I hope you guys have a fun and exhilarating experience.

Looking forward to the pictures 8)

Ondoy Lorenzo, class ra kaayo kining cognac, wa na diri sa bakilid.

di man, uy, Tita Tess.
Lami kaayo ning Cognac especialmente when its lightly heated. It really keeps you warm jud, especially after a cold day.

As for the latter. I prefer ginger with cognac. lol.

Ah, good times.

Easypeacy, komedya lang to akoa. Pawala sa kamingaw.

Really, I love mountaineering. It is more than an adventure and recreation. It is fulfilling to the spirit specially if you reached your goal, the summit. Stretching your hand wide, you feel like you own the world and at an instant mawala imong kakapoy.

It develops determination, it conquers your fear, it trains you mentally how to set a goal and reach for it. Moreover, it allows you to appreciate God's masterpiece (nature) on your way.

It is a 3 in 1 activity; i.e. Physical, Mental and Spiritual.

Manunggal or Tabunan, all the hardships really fade when you see other "social" climbers on board those habalhabal that overtake you when you are just about there. Weird noh? But i did it.

What if, instead of going up, we go down?
There is Carmaloan, ilang bay buwadsanga, sa Jagna. i know this is difinitely one for keeps.

Dr. Cagulada also has a hole right in the middle of his farm, this is sure fun, going down.

Wed need equipment though, PETZL, Black Diamond, ooo my, wa na koy kwarta ipalit equipment! huhuhu

i did some caving way back.. But i didnt like it much.. Im a bit claustrophobic.. However, that as i am, i was still able to visit these caves: agta cave in argao, 2 unnamed caves in cantipla(cebu), inambacan cave in antequera(bohol), a cave in samar(i forgot the name), a cave in danao(bohol).. I dont like the idea of being underground, its like you're being buried alive.. What if there's an earthquake and you're down there? Whoa!

by the way, apothecary.. Diba ginabawal naman ang magcaving without the consent from DENR? this issue was actually raised after the accident of the late doc espina(rest his soul) over at the gaas cave..

Were having tie-ups with the DENR, and of course PAMB access can be gained with the plan. It is by the way an attempt to map and document the caves for posterity and further conservation moves.

hahaha!! makapatomba nyag baka.. easy i forgot if nag post naka..pila naka ka years nag climb?

mga 4 years na ko nagclimb.. actually, not purely climbing lang coz I visit caves, too... but I prefer climbing jud coz i'm a bit claustrophobic.. i started out year 2005..

my first climb was in manunggal then osmena peak then lantoy in argao and some mountains in carcar... then i ventured to other minor climbs in bohol (padhan peak, bilar etc.), then at Mount Hibokhibok in Camiguin.. then I had a major climb in Canlaon just last year..

one experience, i shall never forget was when we had caving in one of the caves in Cantipla, trekked downhill to tabunan,  then climb manunggal all in just half a day.. we started at 1pm from cantipla elementary school trekked downhill and reached the cave site at 3pm.. caved for 2 hours and climbed back up to head off to Manunggal.. we arrived at tabunan at about 6pm.. had some snacks and refilled our water packs.. start our ascent at about 7pm.. it was already night time.. navigating at night with the thick fog is really very difficult.. sometimes we got disorientated and thought  that the campsite was already near but soon realized it was still far ahead.. finally we reached the manunggal campsite at 10pm.. a trek that was supposed to be an hours worth lasted for 3 hours.. it was really very exhausting i almost cried.. the campsite was a really welcoming site for us who were extremely tired and hungry.. medyo makatagam jud to nga experience..

but wala man japon ko ningtagam.. hehehe!!
