In their fourth #NCAASeason99 match, the Mapúa Cardinals blew away the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (CSB) Blazers to clinch their third win last October 4, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
The red and gold jerseys started the game off the backfoot, trailing behind the Blazers by the end of the half time, 30-37. However, in a show of unified play, the Cards' second unit slowly built up the right momentum, tallying a total of 49 points to edge out the CSB Blazers at the final buzzer, 75-71.
Paolo Hernandez' clutch performance secured the homesquad's advantage at crunch time, putting up a total of 22 points, four boards, one assist, one steal, and one block, earning him the Player of the Game honors.
With eyes set on keeping their place in the winning column, the Mapúa Cardinals will take on the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals today, October 8, at 10:00 AM, at the same arena.
