Jinkee Pacquiao will not be at the MGM Grand Hotel ringside when her husband fights Oscar de la Hoya on December 7 (December 6, US time).
Pacquiao is eight months pregnant with her fourth child with the Filipino world champion, making it delicate for her to watch a bout expected to be more tense than any of her husband's previous fights.
"Sa kuwarto lang ako, siguro sa pay-per-view na lang," said Pacquiao, who will be staying at a suite at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. "Siya (Manny) rin naman ang nagsabi na ayaw niya rin akong manood sa ringside kasi baka kung mapa-ano pa ako."
Pacquiao has never missed watching from the sidelines. She almost did when her husband took on Eric Morales in 2006.
"Naka-panganak na ako noon kaya nakapanood ako," Pacquiao recalled. "Kung six months pa siguro ngayon, ok lang. Pero eight months na kasi e, baka ma-stress pa ako."
She admitted that even when The Dream Match was still in the planning stages, she was already uneasy about the megabuck showdown.
"Alam naman natin si de la Hoya na magaling talaga at tsaka mabilis, so medyo may konting kaba," Pacquiao revealed.
"Nung una, ayaw ko talaga. Para sa akin hindi pa dapat. Na-suggest nga ako kay Manny na meron sigurong iba pang makakalaban, huwag na muna si de la Hoya," she added.
