Andy Roddick became the biggest casualty of the men's draw so far at the
French Open as he lost 6-4 6-4 6-2 to qualifier Teimuraz Gabashvili.
Sixth seed Roddick, whose preparations have been hit by a virus, saw his miserable Roland Garros record extended by this loss to the world number 114.
Roddick's last-16
defeat by Frenchman Gael Monfils last year was his best performance at the event.
Russia's Gabashvili will go on
to play either Jurgen Melzer or David Ferrer.
As the 25-year-old secured the crucial break in the seventh
game of the opening set, an out-of-sorts Roddick threw his racket towards his entourage in
frustration.
