Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao yesterday made mention of the three Filipino fighters who will be slugging it out against separate opponents in the undercard of his October 6 rematch with Marco Antonio Barrera at the Mandalay Bay.
Pacquiao and Barrera cross paths once again at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas in a rematch of their first encounter won by the Filipino icon in convincing fashion.
In his widely read column which appeared simultaneously on Philboxing.com and Abante yesterday, Pacquiao named the three fighters as featherweight Michael Farenas, bantamweight Jundy Maraon and featherweight Glenn Gonzales.
Both Maraon and Gonzales, along with trainer Noli Pinol, are scheduled for their visa interview this morning, while Farenas has already been given a three-year visa by the US Embassy in Manila along with trainer Jonathan Penalosa.
“Watch out for these three fighters, as I expect them to go places and win big fights,†Pacquiao said in his
column.
