The 1st TIMEX 226 Bohol Iron Distance Triathlon on December 3 to 4 will show off the alternative tourism factor of third district.
Third District Rep. Arthur Yap, who heads the local organizing committee, looks forward to the event as an opportunity to show off Bohol's rich culture and history in addition to the natural beauty of the province that includes the famed Chocolate Hills and the crystalline beaches of Panglao.
Fresh from the successful staging of the two-day Tour of Bohol last month, the province will again stir stamina and endurance in the lung-busting 3.8-km swim, 180-km bike and 42-km marathon run.
But what's interesting aside from the actual competition is the fact that triathletes will be able to see the scenic beauty of Bohol with the swim leg taking place at the immaculate blue waters in Anda.
The bike leg will pass through the scenic coast of Jagna to the charming view of rice terraces and mangrove forest of Candijay while the run will start from Guindulman back to Anda.
