This city, through its Youth and Sports Development Division, is preparing for the
36th National Milo Marathon Iloilo Leg Elimination on Oct. 28. Sports development officer
Rommel Castro said they have reached their target number of
12,000 runners as of Oct. 16.
Those who registered for the 3-km run numbered 2,000; 5-km, 9,500; 10-km, 250; and 21-km, 250.
“We cannot add more runners because that is already the maximum capacity our route can take,†he explained.
The run starts at Luna Street in front of the West Visayas State University going to General Luna Street then turn right at Diversion Road going to Pavia, Iloilo, then back to Iloilo Sports Complex in La Paz district.
Gun time for the 3-km and 5- km run is 5:30 a.m.; 10-km, 5:00 a.m.; and 21- km , 4:30 a.m.
The winners will be qualified to run for the
national finals in Metro Manila on Dec. 9. Linkback:
