On January 2, 2008, we saw the birth of the “69/75 Clubâ€, the first alumni group in Sikatuna Central Elementary School. At first, we thought of it to be exclusive for our Grade VI batch who graduated in 1975. But then, we realized that a good number of our classmates in Grade I were not able to make it with us, so in order to accommodate them, we decided to open the group to all those who happened to be our classmate during the inclusive period of school years 1969 - 1975. Hence, the name “69/75 Clubâ€.
The initial meeting was done in the palatial residence of our classmate Brgy. Capt. Jose “Pangay†Ellorimo Jr in Poblacion I, where we feasted on a smorgasbord of kaldereta, paklay, kilawin, adobong manok, humba, etc., all of which were duly blessed with grace before meal by another classmate Lay Minister/Municipal Agriculturist Ireneo “Rene†Gabato. In the informal discussion that followed after lunch, the ever lovely Levi Villamor Calimpusan acted as the interim recorder/secretary.
Indeed the thirty-two years that passed since 1975 was quite long enough for us to trace, so we fell short of time for everything that we need to discuss. We agreed to meet again this coming JUNE 14, hoping that many classmates will come home for the town fiesta.
So this page will serve as notice to all classmates who may happen to drop by here in tubagbohol.
Thank you.
