The Bohol ChronicleThe remains of three-month-and-one-day dead and frozen OFW Eugenia Magdula Baja can be transported to Bohol from Riyadh, also in Saudi Arabia, soon.
This is now worked out by the Philippine Embassy there after the Arab police required the OFW's employer to secure approval from the governor of Riyadh for the repatriation of the dead domestic helper.
Embassy men Lucman Gayampal and Eduardo Lamparas conferred with Capt. Mohammad Al Gessie of the Sahafa Police Station in Riyadh and a representative of Baja's employer for the return home of dead Baja after autopsy had been done.
The late autopsy and investigation findings, including the cause of her death, caused the delay in the transport of the OFW"s remains back home.
The Boholana maid died at the house of her Arab employer allegedly by hitting his head with a block of concrete.
She died last February 24. Her corpse has been frozen exactly three months yesterday, May 24.
Her family in Matin-ao, Sierra Bullones requested for an autopsy on the OFW's corpse as they could not believe she could harm herself, much less chose to die on her own volition without a grave cause she could no longer bear.
