A new development for diabetes treatment has been discovered.
Researchers at North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Massachussetts Institute of Technology and the Children’s Hospital Boston have developed a network of injectable nanoparticles that can release insulin when the blood sugar levels of diabetics begin to rise. This new technology was tested on mice, and researchers discovered that one injection was capable of maintaining normal blood sugar levels for up to 10 days.
