Naked man brings London to standstill

LONDON  - A naked man brought parts of central London to a standstill on Friday after he installed himself on a statue near Prime Minister David Cameron's office for nearly three hours.

Police were called to the statue on Whitehall, the street on which many government offices including Cameron's Downing Street residence are located, after reports that a man had climbed up and might have had a knife.

but is this really strange for great britannia?  isn't that country supposed to have the most number of eccentrics per capita?

The UK’s confusion over the appropriateness of things sexual continues.

While the supposedly trend-setting Edinburgh Fringe gets more-and-more Puritan and this year – in a new move – is censoring ‘naughty’ words from their listings because “our Programme is read by families”, London yesterday paraded up to a thousand real-life fleshy bits-and-pieces unmentionable at the Fringe around the main streets of a sunny English capital city thronged with children, tourists, persons of a nervous disposition and, in Piccadilly, three nuns.

It was the annual London Naked Bike Ride.
