Plant rice and corn and fruit trees para dili lang kay buy and sell.  Ikaw ra pud mag sell.  Banana plantation, casava plantation and factory for these kind of products.  Kung mag mango plantation dried mango factory. I have 17 hectare lot for sale in Buenavista. A lot from our heirs... No one can cultivate and monitor the harvest of the cultivators we need to sell it.  If only I have enough capital it is nice ofr an Agricultural college and have a practicum having a plantation in the lot.  If partners or ventures are willing they are very much welcomed.

If i have a place like that i will develop it into a camping grounds complete with a native restaurant and a smurfhouse for overnight guest. And also canoes and mountain bike for rent.

Hi vrglguapo,

This is really foremost of the ideas I am considering. Do we have any TB members here who are actually engaged in this business? Have you tried this business, guaps? Asa man ta kapamalit ug baratong bugas?

I have only recently moved base from overseas to Cebu, but my heart is really in Bohol. I am fortunate to have a job that gives me a lot of free time (at least for now) --and to connect with different kinds of people. Though my work is academic, I have a lot of entrepreneurial experiences overseas. But doing business in the Philippines is new to me. My company has already been approved by SEC, so I am raring to start.

Rice business first came to mind kay murag mao man gyud kasagara ihatag nga business idea sa akong mga amigo dire sa Cebu. I have a friend at church who is handling about 600 workers, and their company provides 1 sack of rice monthly as one of the benefits. In the university I work in, there is a mall-size food court nga daghan kaayo concessionaires. Since it is really a staple, murag dili gyud tingali ni risky. As a businessman, I am on the conservative side. I am very ready to start anytime

Anyone actually engaged in this business who can share their ideas?

The best place to buy rice is ICM or  Alturas. They have rice plantations in Ubay.If you are buying bulk you might have a discount and you can sell it same as thier price.paligas lang ang presyo para balik dayon ang puhunan.

Hi cheers,

I've been as far as Sagbayan in that area. Murag modalikyat ra man gud ko this Saturday afternoon sa Tagbilaran to check things out with an architect. I don't think I'll have the time to go as far as Buenavista this time. Pila diay na ka oras, and how do I go there (wala pa ko'y sakyanan, but I can rent one). Kung lisdan ko this time, we can find another time nga dili kaayo ko gadali. I'd like to check out your place and explore agri-business ideas that we can possibly cooperate in.

But for sure the road will be going to Danao. Just contact the cell number 09265189625 my business partner will entertain you if i am not available.  This number is used for the selling transaction of the lot and any business ventures that will be pushed through for the said lot.  Thank you so much then.. Hope to hear you soon.

Sir Daray,

I was in Lanang, Davao City, last Sept. 28 and had dinner with Mike. I was there for only 2 days, so my time wasn't really enough. Unta maka business-cum-leisure trip ko ug dugay-dugay next time.

Hi Cheers,

This much I know about geography, kay nagdako man pud ko sa Mindanao, pero taga-Bohol akong papa.

I am actually addressing my message to Sir Felix Daray, who I know is engaged in backyard organic farming and mango plantation in Digos City, Davao del Sur. I happened to be on a business trip in Davao City last September 28 in relation to my main job in the academe. I was not looking to buy any land in Davao. While there, I just wanted to look at his agricultural projects, which he kindly shared with us here in other earlier threads. Sir Daray is a Boholano from Corella who is now based in Davao.

I know that your place is close to Danao in Bohol, and not in Davao. Yes, the agribusiness I am starting is based in Bohol. I am initially setting up base in Tagbilaran. I have been considering to buy farmland in places closer to Tagbilaran like Corella and Sevilla.

ah ok, sorry for the interruption.  Those towns are in the interior part of Bohol.  And for agricultural products shipment you still have to travel a little bit far because it is located in the interior.  Buenavista town is along the coast also.  The lot I have been saying is not so far from the coast.  It is only 1.5 to two kilometers from the coast.  And a ferry boat is travelling from Buenavista to Cebu.  And Buenavista also is near Talibon and Tubigon towns where fast crafts are sailing also from Cebu to Bohol and vice versa.  So shipment of agricultural products is not difficult.  The hill where corn and coconuts are planted as of now is overlooking the sea.  The location is like Beverly hills in Cebu.  It is a rolling terrain.  Investors for agricultural products, housing, and institutional companies are very much welcomed to that area.
