Every year since 1981, the White House Historical Association has created the Official White House Christmas Ornament. These unique collectibles — honoring individual presidents or specific White House anniversaries — have become part of the holiday tradition for millions of American families.
All ornament sales support the non-profit, non-partisan mission of the White House Historical Association to protect, preserve, and provide public access to the history of the White House.
The 2019 Ornament features:
The Presidential Seal on one side, representing Eisenhower’s two terms as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces
The five-star rank on one side, honoring Eisenhower’s military service as a general in the United States Army
The ornament box (below) is a rendering of the White House South Lawn, as Eisenhower began the tradition of flying directly to and from the South Lawn
Lockheed Martin is the first ever official supporter of the ornament. Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, has built every Presidential helicopter from the Eisenhower administration to present day.
