National Home Improvement Expert, Danny Lipford, reaches a major milestone for his Emmy-nominated TV show, "Today's Homeowner," with the debut of its 500th episode this week. The episode, titled "Bath Revival," showcases a 1970's bathroom renovation.

MOBILE, ALA. (PRWEB) NOVEMBER 19, 2019
“Today’s Homeowner with Danny Lipford,” the nationally syndicated TV show now in its 22nd broadcast season, will debut its 500th episode this week. What started as a small regional television show in 1998 has grown significantly over the past 21 years in both reach and audience. Founded in 1998, “Today’s Homeowner” debuted in 68 markets. Today, the show airs in 207 of the 210 Nielsen markets covering 90% of the U.S. It is the highest-rated nationally syndicated home improvement show in the country, reaching 2.1 million weekly viewers.
Homeowners tune in each week to watch host and namesake of the show, Danny Lipford, and his co-host and daughter, Chelsea Lipford Wolf, help real people tackle real projects in their homes. The father-daughter team offers expert guidance and advice to everyday homeowners, empowering them to make improvements they would never attempt on their own.
“It’s the best feeling when Chelsea and I can walk away at the end of a project, and know that we’ve helped someone with a problem, shared a handy tip, or given them some inspiration for their next project,” said Lipford. “We’ve delivered practical, quality home improvement advice on our show for 22 years now. We’re so grateful that our audience keeps coming back to watch week after week, so we honor them by staying true to our mission.”
The 500th episode, titled “Bath Revival,” will air nationwide this week. (Check local listings for details). The episode follows couple Ronnie & Cindy McCarson and the renovation of their 1970’s style bathroom. Lipford and Wolf help the couple raise the bathroom vanity, reface cabinets and install new ceramic flooring and lighting to give the bath a stylish, modern look.
Lipford began his television career in 1988 with a local cable show titled, “Better Living.” At the time, Lipford was growing his remodeling business, Lipford Construction, and he felt the live call-in show was a great marketing tool. He produced and hosted 104 shows from 1988-1990.
In 1990, Lipford started a new show called “Remodeling Today,” and began taking camera crews out on his remodeling job sites. The show was very successful, giving homeowners a “peek behind the curtain” to better understand the world of contracting and home improvement. Lipford hosted “Remodeling Today” for eight seasons, producing 208 episodes.
1998 brought another major change in Lipford’s television career – a partnership with “Today’s Homeowner” magazine. Wanting to expand its media footprint into broadcast, the magazine joined forces with Lipford and launched the “Today’s Homeowner with Danny Lipford” television show. Over time, the focus of the show shifted toward smaller home improvement projects and involving the homeowners in the actual work.
Lipford used his television show to form the cornerstone for his own media company, Today’s Homeowner Media, which is the most diverse home improvement media company in the industry today. Over the years he’s added a national radio show, also titled “Today’s Homeowner;” a Podcast; a destination website, TodaysHomeowner.com; an award-winning web series and blog hosted by his daughter, “Checking In With Chelsea;” influencer media events, and video production services.
