So many parents are not able to afford all the diapers and wipes and other necessities of having a new baby that is why Bill Jones when he headed Volunteers of America in the early 2000s started the Baby Pantry. Even as Bill is now the President and CEO of the United Way of Wyoming Valley, he made clear to O’Donnell law Office the need has only grown greater over time.
“Everyone immediately wanted to pitch in,” said Catherine O’Donnell, an attorney with O’Donnell Law. Instead of buying gifts for each other, the attorneys and support staff all bought baby supplies, including baby carriers and car seats. Attorney Neil O’Donnell added that “every member of our office contributed without question. The Baby Pantry is a simple way to help babies with their physical health and help their parents with all the extra costs and the stress that can present.”
