and Ms. K, sometimes, silence means yes and could be the mother of all f***-ups in a corporate world. hehe
or in the medical field, when interns are told something, its best to just be silent and nodd our heads in front of our attending/instructors. It's okay to be confident, but there are some docs that have what we call the "God Complex", specially surgeons. When they say something , we learned that its just best to be silent or just nodd.
One time, we asked one attending to repeat something (this was when we were being taught the brachial plexus on a body), the doc said to us,
"Oh oh, don't tell me, you want to be an Otolaryngologist?"
We responded, "No, Doctor..."
He replied back, "When unless you listen hard the first time, i suggest you go to the ENT floor!"
