Dalawang (2) bag na naglalaman ng pinaghihinalaang marijuana vape ang nasabat sa isang lalaking pasahero sa Passenger Terminal Building ng pantalan ng TMO-Pasig nitong ika-6 ng Disyembre 2024.


Patungong Coron, Palawan ang pasahero nang mahulihan ito ng mga operator ng screening machine sa PTB ng hinihinalang ipinagbabawal na droga nang dumaan sa  baggage screening area ang bag nito. Agad namang rumisponde sila PPO2 Danilo Bactol, SPPI James Lawrence C. Fortu at SPPI Ronaldo K. Lim  ng Port Police Division, PMO NCR-South nang malaman ang insidente, at nakipag-ugnayan  sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).


Masusing pag-inspection sa mga bagahe ng pasahero ang isinagawa ng mga kinatawan mula sa PDEA sa tulong ng kanilang K9 narcotic detection dog. Ang K9 ay nagbigay ng indikasyon na positibo sa hinihinalang droga ang mga bagahe kung kaya’t  agad na nagsagawa ang mga kawani ng PDEA at Port Police ng paghahanap at pagkumpiska sa nilalaman ng mga bagahe ng pasahero ng naaayon sa tamang proseso at operasyon.


Natagpuan sa loob ng mga bagahe ang mga vape liquid solution na cannabis sativa kung saan ay agad itong sinamsam at minarkahan bilang ebidensya ng operatiba. Samantala, nasa imbestigasyon din ang mga kinatawan mula sa Barangay bilang witness.


Ang pasahero  ay agad na inaresto at kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya na ng PDEA para masampahan ng karampatang kaso kaugnay sa paglabag sa Republic Act 9165.


Ang Philippine Ports Authority ay patuloy sa pagkondena  sa paggamit ng ipinagbabawal na droga  o paglabag sa RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act).
