But evil men shun the light of day as their acts will be laid bare for all to see; they embrace the dying of the light where the evil that these men do will be done under the cover of darkness; and successful accomplishments strengthens the bond of friendship.

So I do not share the view of Bhartrihari. For me, friendship, whether between good men and between evil men has no difference at all.

Very true. So when the good man's character has been corrupted by his bad company... and granting they develop friendship btween them, the strength of this kind of friendship (within the context of corrupt acts) would be the same in terms of strength as that of the friendship of good men.
