This is really true, Blaue! As what you have in your quote (by Alexander Pope), To err is human; to forgive is divine.
It's so easy to justify our anger by getting angry and lashing bad words but most of the time once all's well, we have regrets saying most of what had been said. I am not saint, I got angry as well and a lot of times but I have made this Matthew verse a guiding star:
"It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man."
When St. Peter asked for explanation what this parable means, Jesus answered: everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.â€
