Difference between Knowledge and Wisdom
« on: November 30, 2008, 01:55:21 PM »
Knowledge is proud that she knows so much;
Wisdom is humble that she knows no more.

I would prefer a person with great wisdom than an academician. My housekeeper has only reached elementary but she is full of wisdom, I always seek her advice.

I am different towards different people. If I am amongst fellow medical students, I will talk to them accordingly. If I am amongst professors, instructors and researchers, my way of speech changes to the company I am with. If I need to utilize large vocabulary, to enunciate figure of speech, then so be it.

But then again, if I am around elderly folks or young children, then I will also talk to them in their ways.

If amongst simple men, talk simply with them, believe me it is not only a very humbling experience, but also one learns alot from people from different aspects of life. They may not be able to eloquently word things, but the way they say things and the feelings and experience they share are worth, truly, a thousand words.

I assume you are well versed with transactional analysis.

I would say that my knowledge in Post-Freudian or TA is average, manay Tess.

Still learning it tho, Ma'am.

I agree completely.

My beloved grandfather (Lolo Ciano) is wiser than my medical professors. Lolo never graduated high school because of his responsibilities to his parents and siblings, has provided for his own wife and children. He worked all his life and sent his children to college and beyond. He seldom talks bullshittt, because all of the things that comes out of his mouth has weighted substance. When he speaks, he speaks. Dili bugal-bugalon, dili buangon, dili disrespectful.

His wisdom comes from his closeness to God, and from experiences, and the wisdom that comes with the grace of age.

My grandfather, who did not even graduate from high school, is wiser than my learned medical professors.
