CHARACTER OR REPUTATION?

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation because your character is what you really are; while your reputation is merely what others think of who you are....

For me character is more important. It's what grows within and is what you have when you go away. While reputation is what you have when you come to a new community...it's what people say about you.

IF you have a good character then good reputation follows.

For me, character is far more important than reputation. It is your character that influences and directly affects your reputation. If you have a nasty character, then your reputation will illustrate that; however if you have a beautiful and proud character, then so will your reputation.

Thats my five cents.

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

character is who you actually are, while your reputation can be so many things you aren't. people don't always know the whole story, and when the word gets around about who you are in people's minds, it isn't really a reflection of the truth.

your reputation could be a mirror image of your character, but that's only if people don't judge you from what they hear or see.

the better of the two is definitely character. It's who you are in your life and what you think of yourself. not what random people think..

everyone is really correct, like what onicul said, na ang reputation is just like a shadow of which this is subject for misinterpretation; a shadow does not reflect the underlying meaning of what the real truth wants to convey....

this person is misunderstood for being so organized, for being objective... however, maybe they did'nt have the opportunity to display interpersonal relationship outside the work environment....

a work is work, a personal life is personal, you can never mix them, we have to segregate things based on objectivity... and one must not frown for its failures and mediocrity....

being organized is a manifestation of professionalism, quality and competence...

Ang problema lang ani nga definition sa character is that in the case of some people, who they think they are is not really who they are.

I agree. A man's character defines the man totally. Reputation is the outward. Character is what is inside the man.
