Thats what TB is suppose to be all about, members helping members and members learning from others through the internet of networking.

Kyle, even though we are willing to help you at any time, but you must also study the facts every day so you will be very prepared for when test test arrives.

I love geography and history courses, actually like all my subjects, in college I study subjects such as Anthropology, sociology on prehistoric man, debate, anything I considered valuable for the socail sciences course that I had taken.

I miss school and wish I had now all the things that you have now to study with.

Your from a lucky generation!
Best of luck to you!

Help & Support / Re: Hide Your E-mail in Tubag Bohol
November 20, 2007, 02:36:44 AM
Why would any members in here want to block their emails from fellow Boholanos?

I would think if one does not want his message read by others its up for choice to that individual if he would like to send his message instead by personal email in order to keep it private.

It is also your right in here to block your email reply but as friendly as Boholanos portray themselves why should we need to block out our brothers and sisters in the first place?

We block our emails because we do not like to receive mean, vulgar, and tasteless emails sent by persons whom we really do not know too well.

We also block our email access so to avoid junk mails as well.

If one wanted you to have his email he would offer you in the first place.

An email for someone such as ourselves is almost like it is our home address.

Always take care when opening mail only from those persons whom you know.

Be PC Vigilant always.

It just seems like Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Lim is finding any small thing to neg Djingo Rama with.
Not one day goes by that the two are always at it but it is more the Mayor then it is SB member Rama.

Last week in the same exact spot where Dan Lim also parks his vehicle at the entrance of the cityhall building, Rama also parked his white Pajero Vehicle as well. (There are no signs posted that do not say "NO PARKING" or is it designated parking for Mayor only.)
Dan Lim had it immediately removed.

I would call this on the job harassment at this point.
The two guys are actually pretty nice men, both are professionals and should be setting good examples for the youth and the people of the Tagbilaran community.
Since they were elected in last Mays election.

Help & Support / Re: Report Abuse in Tubag Bohol
November 19, 2007, 12:28:16 AM
:-X If anyone of you do not know the person that is contacting you personally do not bother to reply.

I often do not click on emails from persons I do not know anymore.
I do not even download emails as well.
I do answer all my emails to my friends and family.
Even the yahoo messanger invites coming from persons you do not know never allow them on your list of contacts as most of these are bot sites.

The internet is sometimes more scarier then we expect it should be.

Just be vigilant from anyone on the web and never give out personal address or telephone numbers or bank account numbers or even pin numbers to any one.

Stolen ID is hard often to try and get back. If not hard to get  back try more like an extra unnecessary hassle.
Just take care 24/7

A fly on the wall at last Fridays hearing who happen to be buzzing around at the ERC commissioners told us that the BLCI management covered again and again the theme of unbundling?

Is this a tactic to delay this issue into going any further, how many times do they need to repeat this to the publics awareness and also was it not the two media persons walked out of the hearing early as this was already old news to them as in being a broken CD.

BLCI and to anyone concerned with this long drawn out matter needs to work this issue out and stop fiddly farting around.
Do what is right for the consumers.

Thats great news she was able to surrender in Bohol.

During the peace summit talks this was one of the topics brought up that more persons who belong to the NPA will surrender as well.

Bohol again is having an increase in the rebel population.

Hope they can get it under control before anything drastic could possibly happen.

Sorry if anyone was offended by the suggestion of taking out the Paks-toinks.

Perceptive observation is not such a hard thing to have, I have noticed some in here are not respecting their brothers and sisters under Christ.

I'm a newbie in here and I pay attention very dearly to the things that I include in my environment.

I am not perfect, neither am I precious I just want to belong to friendly site where there are no negative or vulgar hostilities.

I am a the kind of person who is always on the up and up.

God Bless!

And so sorry again if my opinion has offended anyone. :)

;D very wise advise even if your logged into any other sites such as Google, AOL,Yahoo as well as other sites you log onto and if your at the internet cafe also allow yourself plenty of time to log out as well.

This is how stolen accounts happen to others.

Often one can say that they have experience in going into a cafe and the person ahead of them was not logged out.

It has happened to me but I'm the type of person who will not read their materials. I just  log them out myself.

Then log in under my ID.

Thats an excellent reminder and advise Mike.

I honestly think it should be taken out as it seems to me some people are using it like a weapon against others just to be mean in toinking when some comments are actually good.

I see it also as a popularity contest between certain individuals as well.

We mention several times in this site that we have a freedom of speech and to respect that of other persons here.

Some persons maybe biased on the other hand or one sided and may not like the persons comments even tho it is not meant to hurt anyone but instead be informative as how one sees and calls it.

The ones with less toinks will not mind one way or the other.

The ones with grabi toinks would rather see it go away.

I think Pak Pak-Toink was not a good thing as people I have mentioned have abused it against and for others in here.

If some one has something to say let them say it in their own words and why they feel the way they do.

Instead of not really having any meaning or constructive criticism as to why they PAK PAK-TOINK some one for even speaking out loud at all. (TOINKS- are very underminding if we are giving way for freedom of speech.)

Your a great guy Mike and a wise one also.

I'm sure what ever you decide will be okay with everyone. ;)

I am new in here. I am glad your back as I have observed already drastic attitude changes already in here just in the couple hours that you have returned.

It's really amazing how when the cats away the rats will pay? (and some I have been observing have played mean indeed against our brothers and sisters in Tubag Bohol)

I am thankfull for the fresh news that you have already started posting in here.

Keep up the nice work always.

My friends have told me through I'm that some lower parts of BQ have new cracks in the wall going down the stairs into the grocery department.

She also said some parts of her house also have cracks in the cement walls.

Earthquakes are common occurrence especially when setting on fault lines.

In most countries the schools are teaching pupils for years on how to be prepared when you are inside of an earthquake.

Always go under the table that is strong enough or stand in between door frames mostly bordered by wood. This is considered the strongest point of construction inside the house.

Stay calm do not panic or the situation just becomes worse.

There are many on line websites to click onto and check out regarding earthquakes.

My uncle also had a heart attack while inside the restroom during the month of November and died also, what is it about this month that persons die while using the throne?  ???

Books are great to learn by but another form of learning is listening to others in what should be known the networks of life.
Talking with others and their experiences is another way to learn whats happening and maybe you might just hear advice on how and where to apply for a good job going overseas.

There are many benefits in networking amongst others it is how I am able to know whats going on in this life time other then the news we read in the newspaper or the news we watch on our televisions.

#38
According to my connections in Bohol it was aired late on DYRD AM late at night a few weeks ago.

Asianf what you have said it probably holds very true, and in this case it is a public school and having administrative aides as the perpetrators.

How embarrassing and how unfair to the minor students involved in this matter.

Please keep me up to date on the latest.

Take Care!

Talk of the Town / Re: Water in Bohol Dam
November 11, 2007, 02:14:28 AM
Chronicle writer Kit Bagaipo reported in last weds, newspaper that farmers will be getting money back for a dam with no dam water.

Imagine GMA was there recently giving inaugurations to the expensive project.

Is this an effect of El Nino?

I feel terribly bad for the farmers as they depended on the dam to be able to properly irrigate their rice patties.

God has a way to help our hard working farmers with or with out the dam.

El Mundo,

I have read your sweet threads I hope that the persons over seas and not at home can get the story posted?

Is not PreciousNpolite newspaper she said she writes for on line and why have they not posted her column in their web site?

It just seems they should post her column concerning the case as I have only caught some wind of it from friends back home in Bohol other then what I have seen talked about in here.

I hope El Mundo as sweet as you seem you are able to meet her and ask her clearly whats going on so we here can have a better understanding of it.

God Bless and always TC!

Talk of the Town / Re: Republic of Bohol Can Be Created
November 11, 2007, 01:58:45 AM
Lorenzo you definitely makes some sense in this matter.

We apprecite your insights our brother, are you still living there in Bohol at present time?

I am new here and I read allot of what you write as your one of the more constructive commentor's in here.

I would have to agree with how you think about the Philippines maybe about 75% as accurate. Keep up the good concerns and comments in here.

You have certainly captured my attention! ;)
#42
I would imagine it is a not an easy job being a police man in the Philippines.

So many want to do good for the people and so many want to do destroy the reputation of the PNP.

Here in Bohol I would not want to be treading in their boots especially when it would come to having to be the PNP posted in the interior parts of Bohol who are always on look out for any rebel problems there.
Especially now when there are reports of more rebel movement then compared to a year ago.

Always be vigilant my fellow brothers and sisters. :)
#43
Who knows which Governor's from the regional Visayans seven had received of monies from GMA?

I read in an article about three weeks ago about the Sigijour Governor was crying about not getting a piece of the pie over the same exact issue?

Is she still handing it out, because I can use some of it myself also! ;D

#44
:o Can you just imagine the employees from the school being allowed to go to work everyday even tho they are pending cases?

What kind of a school administration allows this?

I agree that they should be suspended pending their investigation and trial.

Why can not some one come in from the outside and file an administrative case against them so that they can be properly suspended so they are not endangering any other students on the schools campus?

In America its normal in a case such as this that the principal will be the one to suspend.

It does not cost anything to file the case. I would like to see and hear what the parents think of this case or such a thing like this happening in a public city high school in the history of ever since it started as a school?

The next questions how come it was brought up by a foreigner and not by a native of Bohol?

I feel this foreigner is courageous in coming forward to say what is happening in our place back home in Bohol. :)

#45
;) Thank you for the constructive back up o the posted topic.
It's nice to have a thread that realates to the topic.

Help & Support / Re: Violations in Tubag Bohol
November 10, 2007, 04:11:06 PM
Is there a way that this web site could detect certain words or other things that could be censored before it is posted?

Some newspaper web sites will not post threads to stories from their on line readers unless it has  Prior approval and not found to be profane in violation of others.

There are plenty topics posted and none of them have any threads it would be nice to hear comments or feelings from persons who are affected by the topics being posted.

God Bless!

#47
I am not so pleased as a newbie in here that I see a pattern of new persons ganging up on particulars indivisuals and telling them that they are in need of psychology?

just where do these persons get off in judging others? people need to be able to speak out and when they do should it should be handled by the person who is reading to handle it as a lesson, or a fact, or a constructive truth.

I am very opposed to personal badgering on any web site not just in here from a new observer point of view.

I also noticed the word biased was not mentioned in here by the moderator as I have noticed there are some foreigners in here who have made some interesting threads and topics as well.
At the same time I am seeing Philippine persons in here putting them down?

Is that how we are taught is to be unloving and unchristian in ways that do not include all of our brothers and sisters in what ever we do and accept them as the same or as an equal no matter what place in the world they come from?

I was raised in a good community and in a good family as well. I was taught by my parents never to be discriminate or biased to persons as my father once told me and the words have good meaning everyday as I meet new some one new and that is "We learn from networking with others and what they know."

God Bless!

November 10, 2007, 05:28:40 AM
Mike as a newbie would it not be advisable to edit and snip out threads that are demeaning towards others in a personable sense.

I see some things already as a newbie that should be omitted while I have been browsing the posted topics and threads.

I do not have to say names as you will read some of the threads you can catch what ever it is I am referring too.

I was just thinking about how Boholanos have a good Christian attitude but if some minors was to read some things written in here some of it is bad examples for them in what should be proper behavior amongst adults.

#50
I am a newbie in here what they call a "Greenhorn", I have been reading topics in here and have found many having to do with taking things personally when I see it as a generalization.

Always keep in mind when posting do not call people names or say they are emotional, I see some animosity going on in here that should not be taking place.

Some of the persons on this thread are agreeing but when you read their other threads they are saying one thing but really are being the opposite way.

Sometimes it gets confusing in here, at present the news posted is not up to date some dates to certain topics are dated way back in time already.

Someone in charge needs to post the latest news about Bohol as there is always something going on in Bohol.

For a while I could see the web site designer was keeping it posted regularly but it looks like he is not posting for some time now?

Who is taking over his work if he is obviously on leave?

Please update the local news happening in Bohol for the rest of us can catch up on the current events happening in Bohol.

I am some one who loves to read constructive things, nice to meet you all. :)

:'( For once I was beginning to think we had hope as the reconstruction was starting to take place on the old and what is known as ugly eye sore thats sits like an ugly blackhead in the heart of Tagbilaran city.

It would be great to finial see the concrete structure booming with beauty and business and also improve the down town area as a new and clean looking business.

Oblenda was a friendly person and a good port authority person as well. When we visited his office he gave us snacks and talked proudly about the new X-ray machine being installed at the city port at the time.
He even drove us back to the place where we stayed after our visits. He lived in Cebu and would commute back and forth during his job.

He is missed by my family as we knew the man in person and know how he loved his work for the ports.

May God rest his soul always and condolences for his family.
#54
PNP not all are corrupt.

The problem is the whole legal system here makes it easy for offenders to do what they do and also get away with it.

Tagbilaran city police were just commended for being the best over all city police station during a recent inspection, but the PNP is badly in need of proper equipments.

Response times for mock tests during the safety inspection were up to par.

According to SSUP. Regional Inspector Pedro Rosales.

Congrats, City of Tagbilaran Police for a job well done!

Bohol Latest News / Re: Weakness of the Police
November 10, 2007, 03:33:19 AM
The PNP are not fully equipped with the right amount of equipments to protect themselves with here.
I am sorry to hear the news such as this.
Many police are always sacrificing for their families putting their life on the line for others to be safe.

Their work is not easy as other may think. The police spend many hours away from their families days or even months depending on where they are posted at.

I am sure many remember him as a very kind policeman who means well.

May God Bless him up above and his young family as well. :)
