This experience in using online learning techniques plus the use of learning-friendly technology presents a great opportunity for today’s new learners to benefit from the convenience and flexibility of online learning for either a basic education or in finishing a higher degree program.  It can be very successful in allowing students to finish their academic program without having to sacrifice their work or career.

But then again, it's the prerogative for the parents or even the students involved (referring to College students) that will matter most. As long the motivation and purpose fall in one very significant target....GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE EDUCATION of our students....

I really appreciate the various reasons for your reactions.... those gave us a thought of a moment... "where are we going from here?".....

Who says PINOYS are touch-based???
That's even the reason why PHILLIPPINES is the texting capital of the world....
Touch is only a matter of perception....but the real score is beyond.....

Ms. V and Manay have two credible points. I guess in the end, the parent or guardian , is the one that chooses if this is profitable for the student. There are some instances were students best learn by themselves , especially in cases where parents home school students. Home schooling children can take advantage of an additional virtual classroom so as to add to what was taught by the parent.

There are instances of slight autism and children who have add (attention deficit disorder) and adhd (attention deficit hyperactive disorder) that can best profit from a classroom like this, if agreed upon by the parent & the medical provider, as it mitigates the possibility of learning abrasion & hindrance.

Manay did make a point that online classrooms and graduate programs are valid for college, & graduate level, particularly true for individuals who are non-traditional students (working parents, late-students etc) that need space for academic work , but at the same time expected to complete all academic directives & material as reiterated in the class syllabus. The progression of extending this kind of learning setting to the elementary, middle school and high school level is something to be talked about, as it is non-traditional in format. But then again, so was the notion of 'online schools' in the beginning, but ever since the success of such programs, many workers have advanced in the work place, due to the proficiency and legitimacy of such online virtual schools.

I don't mean this program will not prosper, it's because these days....it's a competition globally....this means that as a person, you don't only compete for your future here in the Philippines.....thus....above average students can automatically adapt the uniqueness of such virtual environment....well....slow learners can't even cope up in the four-walled classroom...henceforth....this is an option to parents who want their kids to excel in the world competition....

This is what we call understanding by design....meaning.....whether books are given....the comprehension of the student is tested.... enumeration? identification? filling the blanks? these are not commonly used recently.....multiple choice is preferred but you need to understand what the question is all about because it's how you project the statement.....the choices are all correct....you need to know what's the best answer to the given statement.....

I agree. Distant education will not work. If questions are submitted to the  pupils for evaluation  in their homes, it is answered through codigo system.

I strongly disagree....because the lessons are given yet the tests are monitored through camera recording.....and the attempts of answering it is only once....and the tests are time bound.....

critical years for students are found during their primary grades in the elementary level.....
this is optional for parents...yet it can be blended as well.....
activities too are not compromised since DepEd monthly activities are observed......

virtual learning is not a hindrance to barkadahan.....in the virtual learning environment....chat rooms are provided where you can access, inquire, chat and chikka with your friends, classmates in the class, your teacher importantly......and the whole people in the campus through online.........

the value of video-based lessons are very important for repetitions even for a hundred times.....
what's the essence of the mobile network is similar to the the virtual classrooms.... in fact.....if you happen to have FB...simulations are quite similar.....and it's a user friendly environment as well...
yet, most people in the conventional mind wont accept what's the significance of the future of educational setting.....

Thanks so much Lorenzo.....
I just would like to uplift what the new educational system supposedly be adhered in the Philippines.

Being in a four-walled educational classroom is a traditional and conventional which in a matter of time will be out of synch....
I mean....this is what the future of education is all about.....

The distance learning.....

I strongly disagree on the word KODIGO!
why? because the lessons are self-paced virtual setting....
what does it mean??? comprehensive understanding of the lessons is a requirement....
TESTS are based on understanding and time-bound...with attachment of the camera....
WHY not try it?????
It's interesting....and besides....this is not only for Philippine people....
This is worldwide.....using the Learning Management System....how does it work????
You will learn to love when you yourself is involve with your own virtual classroom.....

Your opinion's respected....so be it, with you....
But the world is open for lots of possibilities and change is permanent....

Sooner of later....with the scarcity of classrooms and the problems arise in our educational system....
Distance Education through virtual classroom is A REALITY!!!!
#18
All the modules are based from DepEd and CHED standards and guidelines.....

The modules are actually updated in the virtual classroom, this means that even if you are outside the country, you can still finish your basic education and degree course of your choice.....

If you want to know more about it....

Please visit the website: www.cidec-edu.org

The school is also open for satellite centers.....

Thanks for the inquiry.....

Welcome to Cebu International Distance Education College....in short it's CIDEC.
From elementary, high school and college, you can choose whatever pacing you want.
Whether online, LMS or the on-campus classes, or you will have the blending learning for you to go through.
Finish your program as much as you can and accelerate to the next upper level.

Hi folks!

The DepEd's budget is short by 140,000 classrooms and can only build 14,000 units next year. This shortage is clearly emphasizing the innovation of education as fast and as hard in as many public schools as possible.

HOW??? The government failed to tell us how to do it!!!

Distance Education is the KEY!

Finish your elementary, high school and college courses without the burden of going to school everyday, without the burden of thinking what to give BAUN to your kids everyday if you are a parent!
