This is going to be my last post as i have come to understand that no matter what i say most people here will react negatively.  In the previous thread i opted not to comment until the time you posted pictures and maligned my friend.  My real concern was not just Wabert but the people who were shown in the same picture.  How do you think they would feel seeing their picture on a forum that has a very unpleasant topic? i only wanted you to respect wabert until such time the case is over but i reckon it is impossible.  as most of you will say here, i should just probably start a thread of pro-wabert :-). 

I wish everybody here peace and most especially that the real culprits will be caught.

actually not just the side of the suspects, but also for the victims family, because lyn vi is a cousin of my brother-in-law.

kidding aside, your replies to my posts does not answer my questions and i understand.  basta, now i know you know something but you are trying to delay the case of lyn vi and we don't know the reason why.  just don't attack my friend's character again unless you have a solid proof. respect lang po. 

you keep on saying that those 3 guys should come out and say what they know when you yourself  cannot do so.  why?  have it ever entered your mind that if the police has really proof against them they would have already been caught? it's so easy my dear, we have the NBI, they can trace their addresses.  have you not wondered why the media stopped naming names?

are you sure he is a relative? i think now i know where you got ur information that wabert was asked to leave their house...this is so untrue! maybe that relative you are refferring to is just a person who has the same surname as his but he definitely does not know anything about him. or maybe he is a cousin but he only used his lastname "diu" after we graduated from college so this means he does not know this guy.  please get your facts straight. peace man!
 

thank you and i respect your opinion! but i personally know the guy since childhood. just don't attack his character as if you know the facts already!

i really feel sorry for lyn vi and her family, she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time just like wabert. 

as far as i know lyn vi was last seen with evelyn apelado, if thats her real name!

my sympathies to the family and friends of the victim! I dont know jonnel but i know wabert and i know that they have nothing to do with the crime! it just happened that they met on that night! and being a good neighbor he hanged out for couple of hours and eventually separated thier ways.

Hate, i understand how u feel but just a question.... if wabert is proven innocent in court how will u say sorry to him after all the negative things you have posted here?  how will u say sorry to his family?

if it is proven otherwise that he was involve then i will be full of remorse!

THE Mandaue City Council will invite city and regional police officials to discuss allegations of an attempted cover-up in the investigation on the murder of a call center supervisor.

“It has come to our attention that there are other interested parties outside the city who expressed interest and put pressure on the outcome of the case,” said Vice Mayor Carlo Fortuna.

The relief yesterday of Chief Insp. Eddie Recamara as head of the Investigation and Detective Management Bureau (IDMB) boosted speculations the investigating team is under pressure to withhold their findings or stall the filing of the case.

Fortuna said they will invite Senior Supt. Orlando Ualat, officer-in-charge of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), and Chief Supt. Ronald Roderos of the Police Regional Office to shed light on this allegation.

Fortuna also suggested that the mayor make representations with higher PNP officials. Fortuna chairs the council committee on police, fire and penology.

IDMB is the unit investigating the murder of Lynn Vi Ebarita. Their investigators filed the complaint against Jonnelle Enfectana, Ebarita’s friend.

When sought for reaction, Mayor Jonas Cortes said he will talk to Ualat.

Vic Ebarita, slain victim’s father, wrote to request City Councilor Diosdado Suico that Recamara be retained as IDMB chief while the investigation on the death of his daughter is ongoing and the other suspects are still at large.

“May we request therefore for the retention of Maj. Eddie Recamara in the Mandaue City Police Office because according to his colleagues, it is degrading and unhealthy for the teamwork that they developed in crime-solving,” the father said in his letter.

MCPO deputy city director for operations Bernard Tambauan said the city officials’ apprehension is wrong and unfounded.

He said investigators PO3 Protacio Tago and SPO1 Arnulfo Quichon Jr. are still handling the case and the new IDMB chief, Jason Capoy, is very capable.

Ebarita was stabbed 24 times and her body was stuffed in a garbage bag that was left at the back of a hotel room.

Counsel

Ebarita’s friend and officemate Enfectana was arrested after the police recovered the victim’s wallet in the laundry area of Enfectana’s boarding house.

Enfectana was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and brought to the police station past 6 p.m. In the interval, reporters saw Tambauan conferring with the suspect’s counsel inside a room adjacent to the suspect’s hospital room.

Tambauan said they were talking about the suspect making a confession. But the lawyer refused.

Tambauan said he did not intervene in the investigation. He said he just guided investigators since Recamara himself asked for his guidance before the case was filed.

Recamara’s transfer, as ordered by Ualat, is a promotion.

However, Recamara can intervene or assist in the investigation, since he originally handled the case.

Sun.Star called up Ualat for his reaction but was told he was in the middle of a meeting in Cordova.

A spokesperson for the suspect’s family admitted during a press conference that a politician from Eastern Samar sought his help to assist the family in dealing with the media. (OCP)

sympathy are not just for the victims but also for those alleged suspects and their families! media as far as what i have read is bias. I believe the other 3 male suspects are just waiting for an invitation not from media but from the cidg office to invistigate them!
