She could make an alibi by saying that Ebarita left her belongings to her and never saw the victim again...she could use that as a defense...

dili man ko mutuod na dawaton na sa police na alibi niya na gibilin niya ang wallet ra niya kay Jonelle. unsa to dili sya mamasahe ug muuli siya? wa na sya gamiton una. i mean, bisag ikaw dili ka mubaya sa wallet nimu with all your personal belongings in like sa money, ID, credit cards, etc, di ba? :)

i just read some of the new update, guys. the utility person whom jonelle asked about the garbage bag, that was lame. if she were to commit a crime why would she talk to someone that could possibly give information about the issue. like, didn't she think that asking a question about a plastic bag from utility person would give more reason to pin her to the crime. well, she could've just went to the grocery, bought and asked garbage bag sizes from the store itself!

i don't know, this doesn't seem well planned at all. and i just have a question, why is it that all evidences point directly to Jonelle? if the crime was indeed committed by her, why would she make it so obvious that it will all lead to her?

- the wallet that was found at where she lives
- giving the information about the crime then taking it back (which arised suspicion)
- chatting with Vi's bf and providing the prints to the cops
- asking about a garbage bag from the utility person

do the crime and get caught right away?  ???

i guess you're right, maybe she's not.  :P siguro schoolmates and neighbors. but the thing that concerns most of us would be why and how it happened. same as other murder cases, we're all interested on the details.  ;)

@kiamoy, i would consider that as a good thing. like i said, i'm a very friendly person. i have a lot of weird and crazy friends at first sight but i really try to get to know them better and it would turn out they're great, not necessarily perfect but great. pero kani sya wa jud ko'y effort, dai. i didn't turn away while she was there but something stopped me from befriending her. there was just something about her, but i certainly did not expect this.  :-\ it's just sad.

this would pretty much be a big thing from where Jonelle came from, especially back home. we're batchmates and we're both from tacloban, it's a pretty small town where almost everyone knows everybody. i'm sure when i go back they'll be all over it.

i see... thaNks, kiamoy!

hayyy... i can say a lot of bad things about Jonelle from how i know her, i didn't know her that well though 'coz maybe my gut feel told me not to. back then i tried to talk to her, just for casuality's sake but i guess i just didn't need to try hard. not that interested, it was probably a good reason. LoL!  :-X

During the inquest proceedings, police said that among the other circumstantial evidences is that they believed Ebarita’s cell phone was with Enfectana because the victim’s officemates were still receiving text messages from her even if she was believed to be dead already. Police suspected the text messages came from the suspect who pretended to be the victim to misled and delay the discovery of the brutal killing.
And because she has the victim’s cell phone, police said the suspect also pretended as Ebarita during a chat with victim’s boyfriend and use the “codename” which only Ebarita and her boyfriend knew.
"

soRRy. i got confused with the statement. first was "they believe" then "she has" the cell phone already? which is which? do they have it in hand? i haven't read much about the whole thing yet kasi, although i already read a couple of articles about it. i hope the writer of the article can shed some light on the matter.  ???

Vi was still texting her friends, was still communicating with bf even after she was dead already. (so it's possible somebody was acting as Vi)

The text threat that Jonelle received was from her own sim card, since her phone is dual sim.

Jonelle was the one who told their friends that Vi is missing.

Jonelle came out days after the body was discovered.

that is freakin' scary!!! was Vi's phone found? and by the way, with regard to Jonelle keeping Vi's wallet it was a pretty stupid thing to do if she was indeed the one who did the deed. come on!!! didn't she think that if she comes out and be "a good friend that she is" and report to the police that Vi was missing, they would eventually make her a suspect and search her house or something.???

p.S. thanks for the inFo, deAr.  ;D

tama ba atong ako nabasa na nakipag-chat pa pud si jonelle sa U.S. based boyfriend after Lynn was murdered?  :o grabe!!! kay i read an article that a friend of mine forwarded to me na Jonelle came out after the body was found. did the police ask when she found out that Lynn was dead? 'coz if she knew about it during the time that she was chatting with the boyfriend, then, maybe, just maybe she had something to do with it...  :-X

correct me if the information i got was wrong  :)

kiamoy, creepy man tong' pic tan-awon.  :-\ hala noh'? murag close man to sila. mao lagi na as long as naa moi close friend na uban okay lang unta pero may 3 men pa man sila kauban. mahadlok man ko ato. could they probably be high then? i mean, the other people. kay di man to normal na buhaton sa normal na tawo.  ???

sa call center industry madali man ta magtapod sa bag-o na kaila kay murag friendly-friendly jud ang environment, pang-lessen sa toxicity ng trabaho. karon pud naminaw ko ug sa unsag extent ta makipag-friends-friends sa iba just to be cautious.  :'(

i was wondering... they must have been arguing about something really big for this horrible thing to happen. baka di na pwedeng pag-usapan. she certainly could not have done this alone. i remember jonelle to be of a small built, she could not possibly lift a bag containing a body of another person let alone be angry enough to stab lynn 24 times!!! tibay gud ang sikmura sa nagbuhat ani oi. i'm just more interested on the topic because it's not everyday that you know someone that gets involved in such case. kakilabot

i know a friend of hers but i did not bother to bring up the topic kay mauwaw ko. i'm sure that she'll know about it in time. besides, she's on the headline.

would you know how long jonelle and lynn knew each other? she must have trusted jonelle enough to go with her to that hotel with the "cousin" that she just met.

let this all be a lesson to all of us. i know how easy it is to be comfortable with a person especially if you think that you have so much in common, but it's much better to be safe than sorry.  ;D

i just learned about the news when my boyfriend sent me a message this morning. his friend called him and told him about it. we knew her 'coz we're also from tacloban.

we we're schoolmates way back in high school. she already had the reputation of being a bi***** because she is so full of herself. some say that she is a flirt and possibly a social climber. i just read all the replies on the topic and based on the flirtatious event that she did chatting with the U.S. boyfriend of the victim, i can say that she is capable of doing so. but with the murder, that i don't know.

to tell you the truth, i didn't like her back then or do i like her more today, as well, but i don't believe that we have the right to incriminate her or call her names if we don't have enough evidence against her. we should just wait for further investigations to clarify or give light to the issue. then if she did do it, God forbid, with all the proof, then you can call her any way you want.  :P

let's just hope and pray that justice will prevail! :D
