Locally  ang tawag sa taga Pamilacan ani Balilan.  Pero it's not fun to feed the whale sharks as it will destroy their regular feeding habit. Whale sharks are highly migratory, in Bohol we usually spot them between January to May every year.  Mao ni ang pina ka dakong  isda sa tibuok kalibutan.

100% Agree nga naay seminar driver.  Ato pud iapil ang ato mga driver dinhi sa tagbilaran City og sa probinsiaya sa Bohol. Mas maayo unta nga regular kini himoon para driver o himuon ba kaha kini nga requirements para sa renewal sa mga driver's license.

"we will have more tourists if our service sector is improved and professionalized some more.  (it's unprofessional to frontally ask for tips, right?  i find this common in bohol among hotel drivers and bellboys; and i'm not even a tourist!)  another tourist trap such as this planned one would only make bohol no different from so many other similarly "developed" tourist come-ons in the world."

I think we need to call the attention of hotel management... this is bad for the tourism industry of the province.

Two months ago, I went to the farm of my father in law in one of the moutain barangay in Carmen,Bohol. 
Naghimo sila of luwang sa basakan using 7 carabao with daro and wooden blade to flattened the soil.  And because it's hot during that time, every now and then they will stop working and have the  carabao swim in the small water impounding near the rice field.

Ang kanhi 4 ka precints nga dunay botante nga 800+ og kanhi duna usab  BEI matag precint.  Karun ang nahitabo kay 1 raman ka PICOS machine , usa rapud kay BEI sa 4 ka precint.  Kini ang wala makita sa Comelec nga nakapadugay sa Election. 

Lain nga dugay nga bahin mao ang pag locate sa precint number og ang individual number in the precint, lakip na ang pag thumb mark or signature sa 3 sets of documents.   Dugang sa kalangay ang mga botante nga kinahanglan og mo guide kay dili makabasa og ang mga botante pasmado o kurog og kamot kay dili makatunong pag shade sa oval.

Hinuon ok ra gihapon kay malinawon man ang dagan sa piniiay. Bisag walay tulog ang katawhan.

This reminds me of a Pinay in the middle  east during the wrath of Typhoon Ondoy who has been castigated so much because of her bad remarks about the Pinoys here in the Philippines. Then, we just know that someone's also is using her email address.  My email was also hacked about 4 years ago jbaritua@hotmail.com.  I just found out that I could not open my email add using my password.  Sometimes, I can also received email coming from my hacked email address.

In the initial stage of our discussion the cruise ship was planning to have it done every year. However, that would depend on the over all experience of the cruise.  I remember, it was like a fiesta in  Pamilacan  Island, we offered them our native delicacies, puto, suman, bibingka, budbod and hot tsokalate. 

The captain of the ship refuses to anhor the ship in the island, as they might damage the corrals.  He just keep the ship away from the island and  we transfered the guest from the ship to our bangka and do the dolphin tour.

Sayang lang kay in all ports that they have stop naa jud kurakot nga nahitabo.   In the waters off Surigao, naa pa jud boat nga migukod nila sa lawod kay hinay2 raman sila... and same thing nangayo og extra... pay

I share the same sentiments above.  I once handled a cruise ship visiting Bohol. They have dolphin watching and whale watching and snorkeling and diving in Pamilacan Island.  Too bad, not all of the passengers were able to enjoy our place. The ship has to rescue the coast guards that were supposed to board the ship for inspection. The boat hired by the coast guard encountered an engine trouble somewhere in between Baclayon and Pamilacan Island.

In the evening, we were invited onboard the ship to do a presentation of our Marine Conservation Program in Pamilacan Island.  I had the chance to talk with some of the Filipino Crew and I think 2 of the crew are native of Bohol.   They shared to us of the corruption they encountered in our ports, they told us that they really embarrassed.  Their first bad experience was in General Santos City as the group went to Lake Sebu. Ship can not leaved the ports with out clearance from the concern agencies.     In that meeting they told me that they were not sure if the management will be going back again to the Philippines.  I think if remember it right that was in 2003.  The following year, I was informed by the ship Coordinator that they have cancelled their trips to the Philippines.

The crew of the boat believe that the whale could have been entangled by a fishing net but was eventually released.  The picture was taken yesterday, at the Baluarte, Baclayon, Bohol medyo may problema lang sa setting sa date sa Camera. Usually the color of this whale is dark gray with destinctive white markings on its face.

Dead Melon Headed in Pamilacan Island today, August 29, 2009

Baclayon, Bohol:  A 1.3 meters dead melon headed whale (Peponocephala electra) was found floating at around 4 km south west of Pamilacan Island at 7:41 AM Saturday, August 19, 2009.   The whale was found by the crew of MB/CA PIBOSA - Pamilacan Tours 2 namely Daniel Operio - Boat Captain and assisted by Efipanio Operio, Apolinar Miculob with Local Guide Mary Aguipo.  They were searching for dolphins and whales in the area when they sighted the whale.  The whale is believed to be dead 5 or 7 days ago as it is already at the decomposing stage. 

The whale was brought to the Baluarte, Baclayon for some identification.   Mayor Alvin Uy was informed by Jojo Baritua of the Pamilacan Island Boat Operators and Spotters Association (PIBOSA) which immediately proceeded to Baluarte.  Both parties agreed that the whale will be buried immediately.

Hi Guys. It's not Pamilacan Island. Amanpulo Resort is  in Pamalican Island in Palawan. Pero siguro kay nailahan napud ang Pamilacan Island naa pud mga letters moabot sa Baclayon Post  Office intended for Pamalican Island nga moabot diri sa Baclayon.
