Free Advertisement / Staying at Madrid Apartment
September 14, 2009, 06:27:49 PM
Hi!  Are you going on a vacation in Madrid and are you searching for a place to stay?  How about choosing a Madrid apartment that has the best amenities and offers you a private dwelling place?  Staying in an apartment would allow you to do whatever you want to do; why not choose that type of accommodation?

Travel and Tours / Tourism in Australia
August 25, 2009, 05:09:30 PM
Hi everyone! In light of the current financial crisis and its likely impact in industries, Tourism in Australia has developed a Global Market Monitor to provide industries with a detailed report on the conditions and performance of its key markets including vliegticket Australie. This monitor is based on visitor and visa data. I believe this method is also helpful in other countries as well.

Hi guys! I can fully understand what a Corso Inglese all Estero means for teachers. They can travel and be able to teach the cultural aspect of the language to students. Textbooks provide cultural information but first-hand experience is more interesting. And they can also study the language in the schools partner International House. Isnt this great?

Travel and Tours / Spanish Valencia programs
July 07, 2009, 04:08:54 PM
The Spanish Valencia program is also good according to some locals in the area that I met last year. Many non-natives also voted Barcelona as best producer of Spanish speaking international students. Which is which? Thanks for the reply in advance!

Fashion Trend / Faire trade shop online?
June 23, 2009, 05:00:04 PM
Hi! How is fair trade shop handled fairly online? I’m curious so I can engage. I heard a lot about this green trend online and how good and beneficial it is. I have nothing against the idea but for it. I believe it would be even better if most people support the idea, right?

Learn English Online / Something to share!
May 25, 2009, 04:45:08 PM
Hi! I have learned that if you take English course London will ultimately do you more good than you otherwise think. If on the other hand you will choose to study in the U.S.A. where English is apparently prevalent, you will also learn more as you make interactions with the English speaking people. But the point is in giving yourself a shot for something new. You can already imagine it. Just a thing to share. Good luck students!

Hello everyone! I really appreciate the concept of online fair trade that serves as gifts for life. I like the idea that any puchase I make have a direct impact on the life of others (its producers and beneficiaries) and also extending the help and warmth to that someone I choose to give my gift to. I hope we all learn to appreciate the notion of online fair trade and understand what it does for the people. Have a nice time!

General Topic / Language travel program?
May 16, 2009, 05:42:18 PM
Hello sa tanan! It’s one of my sisters interests to forego Sprachreisen.  Since, it’s quite an adventure of her part and provides her a wide range of opportunity to learn other languages or even culture. As of now, I’m still looking for affordable language travel programs especially in the areas of Europe. Can someone here recommend someone here knows where to avail an affordable study language travel program especially in the colleges or universities in Europe? Looking forward to its recommendation. Salamat!

My friend, Allysa could not believe that she was being promoted in my job and my boss is going to send her abroad.  Unfortunately, there is a doubt inside her regarding her English fluency since her boss will going to send her in the country where English language is widely spoken.  Yes she know English but she is not confident with it and still wanted to enhance it even just for weeks or more.  Do you have any idea about the intensive English courses; I’ve heard that it’s one ways of easily learning English language.  If you so, could you please help me where is the best place that offer the course? I would like to help my friend.

General Topic / Burkina Faso
March 06, 2009, 04:02:00 PM
Do you know what I think is a great challenge? To go and work as a volunteer in Burkina Faso and that is exactly what I will be doing next! But now my sister keep talking to me last week about the holidays this summer. I think we have time enough but she really wants to spend at least 2 weeks in Argentina. She couldn’t stop talking about those Buenos Aires vacation rentals and that we had to book fast! I’m still thinking about it, because I’m not sure. Im hoping to get a decision soon... But dont you think its more exciting to do the volunteer work right?

Travel and Tours / Anyone experience with Mexico?
March 04, 2009, 02:20:55 PM
My uncle has bought Buenos Aires real estate, just to invest his money. I don’t know how I have the feeling that he is rich, but he probably has enough money to work for free!
I heard that after a few years of working he did volunteer work in Mexico. It is really far away from my home, but that’s the only thing that keeps me away from it. I mean, if I’m going there for a few months and I don’t like it, I can’t just go back to home in a few hours. Anyone experience with Mexico? Is it fun for a 21 year old girl?

Learn English Online / Interesting Language Abroad?
February 24, 2009, 03:01:22 PM
Hi everyone! I would love to do one of those ‘språkkurser’ there are, I think the translation to English is language courses? Could anyone of you advise me about some good and interesting ones abroad? Thank you!
#22
Hey guys! I’m a fan of travelling and always before I leave I want to learn at least some words in the language of the country I am going to. I had a friend who is  from a highly multicultural family: her mother is Japanese, her father is German and at the moment they live in Sweden because her father has a temporary job there. She love the fact that she is half Japanese or ‘Japanska’ as they say in Sweden. We are actually planning to go there next month and it will be the first time for me. I’m so excited! So I would like to get in contact with some other young people that are in the same situation as her (half Japanese) to talk about multicultural family and cultures. Thanks in advance!

Hello! Next year my sister would like to do something completely different. She have to go abroad for a studies for at least 5 month’s. She was thinking about a destination and now she know where to go: Sweden! Maybe you wonder why she want to go there but the fact is that she love cold weather and apparently Sweden is beautiful. The course she will be following there is in English, but she hope to learn some Swedish as well. She already learned something:  ‘studera utomlands’! This means something like ‘studying abroad’. Can anyone tell if it is a difficult language to learn? Thanks guys!

She couldn't stop talking about those Buenos Aires vacation rentals and that we had to book fast! There are many ways to say "thank you" in Portuguese, that vary in formality and degree of gratitude:

    * obrigado/a - thank you, informal
    * muito obrigado/a - thank you very much
    * obrigadinho/a - kindly thank you, friendly, you should smile when using this form, or be misinterpreted as being ironic/angry: thanks for nothing/thanks, but no thanks
    * muitíssimo obrigado/a - thank you very, very much, I owe you, somewhat formal
    * obrigadíssimo/a - thank you very, very much, I owe you, somewhat formal
    * agradecido/a(s) - thank you, formal
    * muito agradecido/a(s) - thank you very much, formal
    * muitíssimo agradecido/a(s) - thank you very, very much, I owe you, formal
    * agradecidíssimo/a(s) - thank you very, very much, I owe you, formal
    * agradeço-te - thank you deeply, to a friend/coworker/colleague, formal
    * agradeço-lhe - thank you deeply, to a superior/stranger, formal
    * agradeço-vos - thank you deeply, to 2 or more people, formal
    * grato/a(s) - thank you, very formal

Did you ever hear of the 'sprachreisen' that a lot of organizations plan for you and that you only have to pay that everything will be arranged? My friend actually planned that trip, but after I found out about Buenos Aires she decided to be a volunteer overseas in Argentina. I told her that she will not only helping people, but she is giving herself an opportunity to learn a lot and get experience. I hope it will definitely be nice a trip for her! Im just glad to share what i discover on Buenos Aires!

One girl I know really wanted to spend at least 3 months in Kenya. She searched on the internet and read about being a 'volunteer overseas in Kenya' and planned to do that for at least 3 months and if she liked it, she would stay longer.
Her English was not that good so she first wanted to improve it, before she went there. She followed a 'sprachkurs' of English for 3 weeks and didn't really had the feeling that she was prepared, but she just went and came back with almost fluently spoken English and way longer than she actually planned!
Now she's getting ready and very excited for her volunteer work in Kenya!
By the way, she is asking for a great outdoor  in Kenya. Love to hear it from people who have been to Kenya already.

General Topic / Volunteer overseas for this year...
January 02, 2009, 03:52:47 PM
I plan to become a volunteer overseas in New Zealand this year. I love the country, even though I haven't been there. I heard stories, saw pictures and I really want to go there now!
My uncle for example, has been teaching English there to foreigners and told me everything about the great people, the amazing country and the lovely weather.
I can even learn Spanish over there, because my uncle has still a friend living in New Zealand that owns Buenos Aires real estate and so speaks Spanish. He said he wanted to try to help me with improving my Spanish while I'm volunteering there too! I really want to book as possible, but first have to work for a while.

General Topic / Next trip Buenos Aires...
December 23, 2008, 04:05:06 PM
My mum used to be one of those volunteers overseas in Costa Rica. She wanted to learn Spanish and decided to go to work abroad. First she attended a Tesol course and after a few weeks she already passed her exam! She worked in Costa Rica for a year and improved her Spanish so fast and speaks it fluently at the moment.

Because she speaks it fluently now, we thought it would be nice to buy one of the amazing Buenos Aires apartments. It's a really great place to spend your holidays in. Till now I only went with my parents, because I can't understand a word of the language, but I planned to learn Spanish and spend at least a month there with my best friends!

Question and Answer / Has Anyone Have Some Ideas?
December 23, 2008, 02:59:56 PM
When my first cat died, I couldn't get over it. After a while it became really quite in my house and I decided to buy another one. When I bought one, I couldn't think of a good name, but I really want something special with a real meaning behind it.

My friend has been a volunteer in Venezuela a few years ago so I asked her for advice. I thought that she might have some ideas for a 'nombre de gato' in Spanish or something. I'm thinking about it now for like more than a month and I really need more ideas. My cat is already walking around in my house for 2 weeks without a name!

Has anyone have some ideas?

Love Talk / my experience...
December 23, 2008, 02:56:11 PM
I did some volunteer work in Thailand the last few months and I just turned back to home. Did u know that Thailand is actually a really great country? You really should go there for at least a month! The people are really nice and very helpful. I travelled a lot in the weekends with some colleagues and especially the little towns are great to discover. Everywhere are people working, kids going to schools and animals walking on the streets. You see especially a lot of 'gato siameses' walking around. I don't think that they are beautiful, but they are so cute! I really doubt about buying one here at home. I mean, it's really great to have a friend walking around that reminds me of the great time that I had in Thailand!
